Why thank you ner vod. As to my vote, I would have to say either (I know, weird choice) but...Tom Hanks (his role in Saving Private Ryan comes to mind), or (even weirder) Jack Nicholson. His, uh, passionate role in The Shining kind of reminds me of Kal's passionate (albeit altruistic) side. But if I had to nominate just one..... Hanks.

Just going forward with the casting game Robimus is nice enough to run for us. He put up a list of everyone we have cast thus far. We just added Ed Harris for Kal Skirata too. He is going to announce who we are casting next on Friday.

So what brings you to the Mando fan club Master Valon? Is it just the casting game?

 

As I understand it, Republic Commando and the Republic Commando series are definitely of interest to Master Valon.

 

Then he has found the right place!

 

Oh, no way! So much more than that. At heart, I'm a true Mando. I used to be really well verse in Mando'a, but I'll admit I'm a bit rusty, now, haha. I still offer up the occasional word or phrase of it, now and again. (Su'cuy Gar, ner vod?) But yeah, as you can probably tell from my other posts, I'm a hardcore KT fan, and as such, I hold Mandos/RCs/clones close to heart. I went to the "Jedi" side for a while (well.....lightsaber side, lol), but at my core, I will always be Mandalorian. Much like your namesake, actually, haha. So basically, I just really love the culture/philosophy of the Mandos, and if I were to want to be in any SW faction, I would choose Clan Skirata, hands down.

He didn't even know about the dislike many people have for Karen Traviss, based on what he said in the Unpopular EU opinions thread, so I suspect there should be many interesting discussions that await us in the near future.

No, but seriously, I think I'll start a thread pertaining to this issue. I wouldn't want it to get out of hand, but I think we could all keep it articulate/civilized. Is that a good idea, or no?

 

I don't know much Mando'a myself, mainly the Mando'a songs from RC and phrases from the series.

Regarding KT? Pretty sure the idea has been done to death around these parts. You have those that love her, those that hate her and a few in between. But you can rarely if ever convince one of the two extremes that they are wrong.

EDIT: I use the word list alot when I RP. I also try to use the curse words around my kids so they don't pick up on actual bad language. They can't get in trouble for saying osik at school.
