Okay, so Meet #14 didn't quite happen yet but it's 7:42am, I just beat Mega Man 4, and I'm really really bored.

    so any ideas?

Oh wait! I have an original idea! How about a Duck Tour!?

Who is willing to pay for all of the tickets in advance with their credit card? We will of course pay you back.

    Just a reminder:
    October: King Richard's Faire
November: Convention where we will hopefully have a table.
December: TTT at the Soloman Pond Mall
January: Our 20th meet! Quite an accomplishment for our FF if I do say so myself- and I do. 15 isn't so bad either.

I don't have a credit card of my own. I could probably get a few tix with my mom or dad's card, if they let me.

Ok, we talked alot about stuff, and here are the meets...

    August 17: Duck Tour
    September 21: Science Museum w/Special Guest :p
    October 19: King Richard's Faire
November 23: Convention where we will hopefully have a table.
December 21: TTT at the Soloman Pond Mall

It seems we don't have much creative planning until January 2003. On a side note, August will be Eric's last meet as Boston Rebel City Rep., so everybody should come and wish him the best of luck!

As for this next meet, they allow purchase of tickets up to five days in advance. We really need somebody with a credit card to make the purchase, and then have everybody pay him back.

I dont have a credit card either.Would it be possible to buy the tix a few days in advance at the ticket window in cash?

And I agree on the Aug meet ,everyone should be there. It may be a long time til we see Reese again. So everyone should be at the meet!

    September 21: Science Museum w/Special Guest 8-}

I have a credit card. But I would def need the money in advance in my account to make sure it wasn't overdrawn.

Well, in a way...the DTs were something we teased Tony about at one of the soda fountains... ;)

But if you mean DT as in Duck Tour, they were sold out. We went on a harbour cruise instead. This time, hopefully we'll be able to make it happen.

Ahhh, yes, I read the Meet 14 thread. The good news is that my mother is finally warming up to driving me into Boston. She especially feels guilty because of the Meet 14 fiasco! [face_devil] So, I'll tell her the date tonight, and I'll most likely be there!

    2/15 meets ain't bad. :D

Sorry for all the posts, but in talking to her a few minutes ago, she said yes. It was a little sarcastic, but I asked her if she was being sarcastic. She said no, and that as long as she knows, I'll get there.

Man it sucks being under the controlf of parents, at least in some respects. I realize they do a lot for their kids as well.

So does DT mean "drunk tank"? :D

    I am not a lush!

Former Boston Rebel Lush means something, ya know! :)

well i missed the last meet so I have no clue what the hell you guys are talking about.
But I seem to recall the DT's meaning,a withdrawal of sorts.you know when you wake up in the morning shaking and cold dying for a fix, wether it be booze or drugs.

    DT's= DeTox

Ok back to the meet details...

I agree that it would be good to get someone to buy the tix for the Duck Tour ahead of time, but I still see a problem with this.
Some people say they will be there and then dont show up.That leaves whoever bought the tix screwed out of money and its not fair.
I say that if you plan on being there buy your own ticket ahead of time, that way if something happens that you cant make the meet the only screwed is yourself.

Now as for the time.I'm assuming its the same as always, around 12,correct?

    What about the meeting spot?
The tour leaves the pru,so i say go for the Library again, right out front by the T stop.

Same plan as last time- Meet at 12 at the Library near the T-stop.
Only this time we need someone to order the tix ahead of time. any one want to? This is a great time for newbs to prove themselves btw ;)

I don't go into downtown boston very much so i might need some extra directions. and the "buy your own tickets" thing is a good idea.

A DUck Tour is a tour of Boston on a vehicle known as a Duck.

Ducks are old WW2 amphibious assault craft. They were used at Normandy and many other landings, and were used right up until Vietnam in a more modern form. Many old Ducks were saved from scrap-heaps and rebuilt as land/sea tour craft in cities in the area. Boston, Plymouth and Hyannisport all have Duck Tours.
