Great Idea TK! Sadly I heard from Woolies today and they said they cannot support a Govt Agency which the Cancer Council is apparently. I am still hoping to hear from others...

If everyone does what you and SP have done then it would be a wonderfully full basket MS!

Nice try Woolies, but that's BS.

I know you are right DM but I wasnt going to argue with them, they'd obviously made their decision. They support the local school, and thats a Govt. Funded Organisation isnt it? I'm disappointed too.

I Visited Mitre10 today and left a copy of our letter along with a SAFF card in case they wish to give us a voucher, i told them all about our raising funds for relay for life and the basket...

Then went to see Supercheap Auto and they told me they dont give out vouchers.. We would have to contact head office in QLD and they would make the decision if they want to give us a voucher or not...

Will try Motormate, Dick smiths, EB games, JBHIFI as well

Brilliant work TK! thats so impressive. I got the same 'head office' speach seaveral times, consequently several letters with copies of my letter and a SAFF business card went out last week to several 'head offices' They expect us not to try it! HUH!!! LOL!

Posting this in a couple of threads to make sure everyone gets it.

Can all donations for the raffle please be either given to Darth Meanders or myself before the 10th and NOT at the Walk for Hope. If you wish to bring them to the dinner, thats fine, but I have decided it might be a little difficult at the Walk to gather things. So either drop them to either of us before the 10th of bring them to the Dinner. Thanks guys.

Thanks for trying TK, I have all but given up now, so many people are so unwilling to give anything....I found the smaller business' were the best of all, they seemed very happy to donate something without question. The big companies all say "Head Office" and there all applications get lost in the crowd.....so, if there is a small business in the area you think might help, talk to them.

Ok, I lied......so sue me.

I need all donations by the 10th. Please dont bring big stuff on the 2nd, I'd rather the 10th or drop them at either DM's or my place before then. I want to make the parcels up on the 11th and have them ready for dispay at call. Still looking for something to put First prize in. A really big basket (picnic) or a picnic blanket I can put a piece of wood under as it needs to be able to support weight. If anyone can see their way clear to buy something like this and consider it a donation, it would really help. I've spent a fortune on these, so I just cant go any further.
