I agree with the bolded.... that could be a very interesting dynamic.

I have no idea what they were thinking when it comes to Phasma... part of me almost hopes that maybe there was some weird plan to allow SKB to be destroyed

I've always been quite partial to her as well.

 

I can see why. The similarities between her & Zam Wesell perhaps, hmmm? And their scheming?





I really need to watch TFA again soon. And RO. All of the Star Wars actually. Though I'm still having blast listening to the PT soundtracks.

I enjoyed TFA a great deal, but I too am confused as to why they had Phasma do like nothing in TFA after hyping her up, but then decide to bring her back for the sequels. Unless they've got a great story arc for her, which I can't imagine what that would be, but I'll give it a shot I guess, since she's definitely back in VIII.

I love those characters. The TFA novel includes a nice short story that features Bazine. Really great for getting to know her character more.

I was disappointed by Phasma as well. She is cool in the opening scene, but then her character goes nowhere.

TLJ has a lot of stuff to figure out doesn't it? I mean, so many loose ends and unresolved plot points.

 

All I ask is no more garbage chute jokes.

Zam Wesell was, unless I'm mistaken, the first female villain we ever saw in a SW movie. I remember that 12 year old me thought she was really cool (and I still do).

IMO the main issue with Phasma's character is that she was somewhat overhyped in contrast to her actual importance to the movie, Although that trash-compacter joke is silly whichever way you look at it. But considering she's supposed to be back in TLJ hopefully Lucasfilm won't make that mistake again, and she'll be better used this time around. Poor Phasma
