Hey, do you go to concerts? I heard on the radio today that Muse is on a North American tour. But maybe you already knew that. I haven't payed any attention to the band in a long time so that's all I can tell you.

 

They are touring In the US right now.. But not where I am...

 

Subtext Mining Yeah, it's definitely a book series aimed for the preteen or slightly younger audience, but they give a lot of depth to Boba and how a 10 year old has to survive on his own. First book is "Crossfire," right? The last book is great tho. "Pursuit" I think it was called.

 

Oh, you guys are talking about the young adult Boba Fett books. I know I've already said this, but I read the first one. In the third grade, I think? Maybe the fourth.

Safe to say, people are concerned.

 

If you're concerned watch Safety Not Guaranteed. If that doesn't show you CT is capable of making a great movie with great characters then I dunno what to tell ya

 

A lot of people hate that film as well.

 

Really? Don't know many people that saw it but those who did love it.

 

Oh! And that's what you guys meant by "Henrygate." I thought you were talking about the reviews of the movie in general. Lol that the ST folks are suddenly afraid of the potential quality of the rest of the trilogy now (without good reason IMO). I'm being brutally honest, that's how I've felt since the first time I saw TFA.

 

I'm just going by the reactions in the Colin Trevorrow thread of the Spoilers Allowed section of the forums.

The Book of Henry, in theaters everywhere now!

Critics are raving (as in a rabid dog sort of way)! See the movie Rolling Stone is calling "unsettling" and Vulture is calling "nonfunctional."

To my knowledge, the only Trevorrow film I've seen is Jurassic World, which was pretty fun to watch and technically competent, if unnecessary and derivative, like all the other 2015 legacy franchise installments.

So I don't have a beef with him as director. But I'm fascinated by the sheer bombast of the negative reviews for Book of Henry. Now I think I might actually go see it.

 

TBH I would place TFA and JW more or less the same level cinematically. I think they're both entertaining films, but I don't recall being exactly blown away by either upon first viewing.
After leaving the theatre slightly underwhelmed by TFA, I decided that even if I didn't enjoy any of the Disney movies, I wouldn't turn into a bitter hater who couldn't get over it. As it turns out I'm currently cautiously optimistic for TLJ, so at the very least (fingers crossed) I'll like at least one of the ST movies.

In any case no matter what happens, we'll always have the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, and they'll never take that from us.


The more Palpatine I watch, the more I realise I could listen to Ian McDiarmid's voice all day. I hope I'm not turning to the Dark-Side.
