Name: Nija Miyaan (Neesha Meeyan)

Gender: Female

Species: Kuati

Planet: Kuat

Description: Short, but wiry, she has an unimaginable amount of creativity and intelligence. She has long flowing black hair, and hazel eyes. She has trouble communicating with others, and prefers to work alone. However she often feels lonely, and desires love and understanding. (Possible romance here. ) She has little ability when it comes to the Force, but her future contributions to the galaxy will be significant.

Background: Nija's parents were killed early in her life. Since then, she had trouble interacting with people, and hides by burrying herself in work.

She has the potential to invent technological stuff, after all, that's what Kuat is famous for. There's also a possibility of a romance. Since I think I will have VERY little time to contribute to this, feel free to use Nija whenever it suits you. You can tweak or add details if you wish, she's basically here for the taking!

Okay, here are all of the characters so far.

Name: Meesahran Tofallin (Mees)
Species: Human Female (Corellia)
Age: 23
Height: 2 meters
Physical Description: Tall for a woman w/ a medium build. Long, coarse gold and white, wavy hair (white in natural streaks from an illness as a young child). Muscular legs, but a lithe torso (elegant, but fast moving). Eyes are emerald green, but tend to change colors w/ her mood. Has a tattoo on her left shoulder of an unknown symbol (except to her parents who are long dead).
Background: Mees was discovered by her ?Master,? another adept, while traveling through the planet Corellia (Coronet City). Her master was immediately drawn to her through a bond in the Force. Mees lived in the streets of Coronet City from an early age and later worked as a messenger/scout for a smuggler's group, w/ whom she retains a working a relationship. Her strange abilities have always presented her w/ gifts and obstacles in her dealings w/ others. The main gift is her enhanced sense of awareness, which she has put to great use as a scout.
Personality: Mees is strong willed and terribly observant. Almost nothing gets past her keen sense of observation and her powers of analysis enable her to be prepared for any situation. She is also able to blend into any atmosphere, be it a cantina, a governmental meeting, a shipyard garage or a fancy dinner party. Typically Mees can be found in a gray coverall, w/ multiple pockets and a dark blue tank shirt, a blaster strapped to her left thigh and the possibility of many other weapons to be found on her person. She also wears a navy blue jacket w/ alternating red & gold striping down the sleeves (the jacket is somewhat oversized and very worn, but she is never far from it). Few people know it, but she also wears her parents? bonding rings on a chain around her neck (her only real possessions).


Name: Traygar Anshul
Species: Togorian Male (Bipedal Battle Cat)
Height: 3 meters
Physical Description: Very tall, overly muscular build w/ swirled and striped fur in Orange, Gold & Black alternating colors. Gaping Scar across right eye, going from the left ear to just below the right eye. Golden Eyes, w/ red accents. Approx. 75 years old (Togorians have a complex way of calculating age).
Background: Pilot and bodyguard for the leader of a Corellian smuggler chief. Traygar lost a mate challenge and was forced from his homeworld (origin of scar).
Personality: He is extremely loyal and amazingly strong, but a bit conspicuous, so he is used as a bodyguard instead of a scout. His troubles on his homeworld have left him a solitary creature, but once he befriends someone they are friends for life (and Togorians live a long time).

Name: Falion Mussiri
Species: Human Male (Alderaan)
Age: 40-50 (difficult to tell)
Height: 1.6 meters
Physical Description: Small, thin build, graying-dark hair kept in a thick braid. Wears a mustachio, that drapes down onto his chest. Amber eyes, hidden under very thick gray eyebrow. Middle to Late Aged (hard to tell) His thin and fragile appearance betrays his agility and underlying strength.
Background: Falion is a Follower of the Force, who befriends Mees while on a trip to Coronet City to meet w/ a smuggler chief. Drawn to her through a Force bond, he becomes her ?Master,? and promises to show her how to use her innate Force abilities. They now travel together on his starship, SkyDancer.
Personality: Falion is a quiet and unassuming man, believing in the higher values of the religious sects of Alderaan and supplementing them with his teachings from the Followers of the Force. He is also very strong in the Force, and is able to manipulate minds w/ amazing ease, and re-direct energy using only his body.

Alright, and those are all the phrases I know. Just remember when writing them, since it is a foriegn phrase you do not have to put it quotations, only make sure that it is in italics. (Am I correct here Jen?)

Also since this rr takes place a long time ago I would imagine that Old Corellian is a bit more of a modern language and still in use.

 

Sounds great. I'm going to see if I can't find a bit more, since I know it's out there somewhere. Maybe Tim has an old WE book on Corellia. . . Hmmmmm. . .

Name: Xaxan Tryashoenu
Species: Human Male (Commenor)
Age: 40
Height: 1.7 meters
Physical Description: Strong build, w/ intense muscle definition. Striking profile, w/ chiseled features. Reddish-blonde, spiked hair, w/ darker colored eyebrows and goatee. Steel gray eyes, w/ hints of blue. Red scar across right side of chest (approx 4 inches long).
Background: Xaxan is the owner of a large transport business, w/ freighters scattering the galaxy; ferrying goods from the farthest reaches of space travel into The Core. Known throughout as a no nonsense man, who puts up w/ no trouble from anyone or anything. When the Kessel Mining Corporation opened for business, they claimed that deliveries were going to up the price of the Spice )because of having to find a route around the black hole cluster), Xaxan commissioned some pilots to find a way to bridge that gap. This project became known as the Kessel Run, but the pilots of the day call it Xaxan?s Quest and the cluster is commonly referred to as Xaxan?s Pockets (because of their bottomless nature). His company and his reputation has made him one of the fiercest competitors in the galaxy. No one wants to cross Xaxan, even the worst pirates.

Xaxan is also the only care taker for his twin siblings, Xana and Yorel, who are much younger than he (his father remarried a much younger woman after his mother died and then he died shortly after the birth of the twins). When their mother was killed in a coup attempt in their province on Chandrila, the children (20 years younger than Xaxan) were taken hostage and word was sent to their brother, whom they had never met. Xaxan and some of his more trusted men immediately went to rescue the children and though successful, Xaxan was injured by a grazing blast to the chest. He took on the responsibility w/ great reverence and has been a wonderful guardian to the twins, who are both studying at distant universities (Xana at the Universite of Knowledge on Chandrila and Yorel at the Corellian Academy of Militaria on Corellia).

Personality: Xaxan is very into his personal appearance, and works out incessantly (even having a gym installed in his personal freighter). He is also cursed w/ a very short temper, and when crossed he can be a frightful adversary. However, his personality is one of the reasons his business is such a success. Though Xaxan is a fierce business man, his softer nature is apparent when he is w/ his much younger siblings,especially his sister Xana.

Dresses in tailored suits and fighting clothes, w/ a tendency towards white pale blue. He also wears a large ring made of an unusually bright metal, never tarnishing, w/ a perfect reflection of all light. He frequently plays w/ the ring when in negotiations (causing his opponent to become distracted by the light show).

Name: Xana Tryashoenu
Species: Human Female (Chandrila/Commenor)
Age: 20
Height: 1.2 meters
Physical Description: Slim build, but w/ a deceptive grace and strength. Smooth but defined features. She has a very refined & feminine air about her. Flaxen gold hair, long but always kept tied up. Blue-Green eyes. She has a large, purplish, burn scar on her left shoulder (from her captivity during a coup attempt when she was 8).
Background: Xana was orphaned at the age of 8 along w/ her twin brother Yorel. Her mother had married a much older man and he had passed when Xana and her brother were only babies. Her mother returned to her homeworld of Chandrila after the passing of her husband to raise her children in a familiar place. Because of this move, Xana and her twin were never able to meet her much older brother Xaxan. They had grown up hearing stories of this fierce and larger than life man, and because of this they were deathly afraid of him. When their mother was killed during a coup attempt in their province (also wounding Xana when she and her twin were taken hostage), Xaxan formed

 

Ok, I just wanted to add something that will make it loads easier to do a character sketch for you all.

If there is an actor that resembles them, if you can find a good picture of them (preferably a well lit one with lots of shading) can you post the link here... I will use it for refrence.

Of course it doesn't have to look exactally like them, just close. The colors don't have to be right, but facial structure and preferably attitude.

 

hrm...I just wrote a character (1 of 2 planned). But there are a few problems.

1: his background is about 830 words long.

2: I'm going to Saudi and don't know how much net access I'll have to post on the story...

This one is a little long, but I thought the background stuff was really important to understanding the character. Great job Cory!

Name: Bowen Dracul (pronounced like Dracula w/o the ?a?) Called Bo for short.
Species: Human Male (Logoth)
Age: 26
Height: 6?2? (I don?t do meters)
Physical Appearance: 212 lbs, muscular build, black hair, blue eyes, very flexible (due to combat training), with exceptional speed, dexterity, agility, and strength. Force Abilities: none except that the force has no affect on him.
Background: Trained in hand to hand and weapons combat since an early age (around 4), Bo was a member of the elite forces of his backwater planet?s royal army. But he also showed a great potential concerning the magical forces wielded only by the planet?s sorcerers. But Bowen did not pursue his magical talents as he preferred the life he was born, bred, and trained for, that of a soldier. This, however, did not stop Haart Balwer, a combat instructor at the royal army academy with magical talents of his own, from teaching Bowen how to make use of his special abilities.

Bowen?s planet Logoth was technologically inferior to most of the galaxy, only recently making the needed advances to make travel through hyperspace possible. The planet?s first exploration into hyperspace was a tragic failure. The Hyperspace 4?s mission was simple, to travel to a recently discovered planet previously out of reach due to the restrictions of normalspace travel, and report any significant discoveries (life, civilization, etc.). Soon after exiting hyperspace near the planet, the Logoth lost contact with the Hyperspace 4.

A rescue and reconnaissance mission was immediately tasked to discover what happened to the Hyperspace 4. Selected for the security team for this mission was Haart Balwer. Balwer asked Bowen (now 16 and close friend and apprentice to Balower) to accompany him on the mission. Bowen accepted of course.

The mission was launched, and Bowen was excited to be among the first men from his planet to travel through hyperspace. But like the Hyperspace 4, the rescue mission?s craft lost contact with Logoth when it arrived at its destination. Upon reentry to normalspace, a malfunction caused by a design flaw in the hyperspace caused a devastating explosion to the rescue ship that knocked out all communications and navigational equipment. The ship?s skilled pilot managed to land the craft on the planet?s surface, saving the lives of 27 members of the rescue party. After landing on the planet, Bowen and his master discovered that their magical abilities were gone. It was soon discovered that a small mammalian creature repelled their magic, or created a void in which they could not use it (yeah, these are the ysalimari from Zahn?s trilogy).

It took years for the rescue party to repair the communications equipment enough to send out a short-range distress signal before their comm specialist was killed by one of the many deadly creatures of the planet?s forest. So the ?rescue? party could do nothing but wait and hope someone heard the distress signal. During their stay, Haart and Bowen continued Bowen?s training in the combative arts, trying to find focus and ignore the fact that their magical talents had been stripped from them. Bowen learned to trust his natural instincts and fighting skills. His master, however, secretly reveled in the loss of his special abilities, eventually going insane killing himself and 10 other members of the party. This only steeled Bowen?s resolve to ignore his missing abilities. Bowen eventually was able to forget he ever had the abilities.

9 years after crashing on the planet, a passing ship received the distress signal and the remaining members of the rescue party were themselves rescued. Or so they thought. The pirates that took them aboard stripped them of anything they thought might be of value, which of course wasn?t much, and begin to kill them. Bowen and one other soldier fought back against the pirates and killed all but t

While tatooing was part of the Zabraks culture he was the second, behind his older brother, of his species with full body tatoos. The colors of black, green, and white covered his body in intricate designs. His Jedi abilities helped him endure the pain of the tatooing process. Also one of the first Zabraks to have Jedi abilities, he and the few others banded together to test themselves against one another.
