Yeah, Mondays suck. I have already started this day off right, anyways. I was supposed to be working Saturday, Sept. 4th. But when the calendar was put up many, many months ago, I switched with a guy I work with here. Today I get informed by him that he doesnt recall us making that switch. I went off on him about it. Here it is, less than 2 weeks to that Saturday, and I have no one to switch with, and that day is my wifes birthday. I hope he doesnt come asking me for any favors.

 

Riff... here's a great idea... call in sick... it's a Migraine waiting to happen if you don't get off...

Hey all. I had something kind of interesting happen to me today. I've been having to give these presentations on Electronic Research and the E-Resources we have available here at the college. Well, I'm really starting to get sick of doing them. I keep having to say the same things over and over again, while the students day dream about what they'd rather be doing. But on the the interesting part...I actually had a guy fall asleep during one this morning. The worst part was that he was snoring pretty loudly. Of course, I made a joke out of it, and continued on. He woke up long enough to find out why everybody was laughing, then dozed off again.

PS: My first coherent thought of the day: "Why can't today be Friday?"

Hell, by that point, I was so bored I envyed him. The thing that ticked me off was that I couldn't get away with doing it.

Well, let me see what the wife has to say...

 

I was going to go to at least part of the Southern Nash game (the wife works tonight) but if yall are getting together I would rather do that. Maybe meet up at Jimmy's (I need to see some newer comics) and throw back a few afterwards. That way I can be home before the Mrs. has to leave (10:00.) I hate watching part of a game. What time are yall going to be at Jimmys? That is of course, if I'm invited.

 

I've got to leave work early to pick up a dog from the vet. Might be early at Jimmy's - might be late...

 

I get off at 4:00 today, so I should be there around 5:00 (depending on traffic). We usually hang out there until at least 6:00. So if anyone is interested in getting together, I'ld say either be there (or leave a message) by 6:00.
