Saturday 2nd September - Southport mini-meet (for Southport Airshow)

*** Due to a small change in plans for Jedi_Nat's London/South trip, I have the first weekend free in September (ie 2nd/3rd) ***

So, there is an opportunity for a mini-Southport meet that weekend. Unfortunately it clashes with the Newcastle mini-meet, but at least then both sides of the North are doing something.

If I know numbers, I can get the advanced ones together, saving everyone £2 each.

If we get time, could have a little cruise on the Marine Lake via the Mississippi Belle (I think that is £3 per adult, I can check up. It's about 20-30 mins on an Mississippi style paddle steamer.

And depending on what people want to do, have a meal in Southport.

NW people - plan or not? This could include people from Manchester, Preston, Merseyside, since Southport has coach/train links to all.

 

Never been to the Airshow in Southport, so I wouldn't mind going to see that. As it's a while off I'll just say a maybe to going and just see if I can go closer to the date.

I would really like to go, but would probably end up being a last minute decision based on the finances. Will let you know asap. Would be a nice weekend away.

Can't see it being a problem for clashing with my job considering how dificult it is for me to find one. So I'm definatly a definate.

 

Can we say Saturday for this? My friend will probs come down, but I think he'll do Sunday alone (stuff to chat about ).

Well, I wont be able to attend the Saturday one, but maybe Sunday. Can't say for certain.

 

At the mo I think we are having the FF-UK meet on Sat, but I will be there with my friend on Sunday.

Nah don't bother man. She'll be turning up at about 12ish. Just found out she might be with her fella so that'll kind of be two extras to share body heat with if the weather stays bad. I doubt they'll be staying for the meal though.
