I've found a new game to add to our list:

Star Wars: Imperial Ace

Um, hello, LucasArts? Why are all the awesome game concepts being put on cell phones and not the PC?




Looks interesting though. I wonder if it could somehow be tied into the Hammertong (or even another superlaser... ) project, since Mygeeto is in it...

As for timeline placement, I'd say sometime post-Yavin because of the TIE Interceptors.

Based on that last description, the Imperial invasion of Mygeeto (at least, the one in this game) would have to be set sometime after ESB, since it refers to "Admiral Piett."

 

Might not be Firmus Piett, of course...

 

Didn't he have a father or an uncle or something that was an admiral under the Republic?

 

No, that was Jerjerrod.

 

One of the playable ships is a TIE Defender, a craft depicted solely in post-ESB sources, I believe.

It appears to be the same Piett from the movies, judging by this screenshot.

It's his identical brother, Stiffus Piett.

Reading the SSD length threads, I'd have to say "yes".

 

Glad to see this thread's still going. When's Lethal Alliance out?

 

Lethal Alliance comes out this week, or at least the PSP version does.

I'm thinking it could turn out well, or it could turn into another Empire at War, continuity-wise. Odds possibly favoring the bad outcome.

 

Seeing as though it features Kyle Katarn and Despayre, I'd say things are looking pretty good for Lethal Alliance. They might be using the Holocron Continuity Database for once.

 

We wish. This trailer already shows a continuity error---Kyle has a beard.

That, and he already seems to know Mon Mothma pretty well before he should (at least, I think its Mon Mothma.) Plus we seem to have another "who really stole the Death Star plans" situation. I'll wait to actually play the game before critiquing it, though.

 

It looks more like a meeting with Leia and Kyle, not Mon Mothma. Possibly even after the events of the Dark Forces Danuta levels--it's never been entirely clear how Kyle got his set of Death Star plans to Leia.

Gentlemen, I expect a full report on this game by tomorrow evening!
