I thought about it, but I'm just not sure how often I could participate and of course there's the privacy issue. I'll stay open to the idea for now, though. :)

Well considering I won't be moving back home until the end of May after graduation, I figured I just gather interest until an exploratory meeting can be set. :)

And I know people in RL that I could bring into a possible Fan Force. ;)

Oh I didn't give up alcohol altogether, just the Fordham bar scene. I drank quite a bit out and had fun out in Los Angeles to say the least. (ask the LAFF CR about that) ;)

Darn! I was going to ask if everybody wanted to have the first meeting this Friday at a bar, but everybody sacrificed alcohol for Lent. Oh well.....

I recommend having your first meeting at something like a barnes and nobles or something along that line....This way everyone can attend your meeting and there are no age restrictions.

I'm 21, it doesn't matter. Corrupt? I've been corrupt since I started college, come on. :p

Nah, Marshall is a cool guy, great to meet him. I hope to hang out with LAFF when I go out there again in late October.

Age restrictions? Isn't that determined by the Fan Force after they become official? That's what I remember when we discussed it when forming the NJO.

What she means by that is the first meeting not be held at some place with an age restriction, such as a bar or somewhere 18+ or 21+. A FF can make a restriction on age groups at any time.

Nah, that wouldn't be done. The first meeting would definitely be at a B&N most likely followed up by lunch.

Oh, I thought there was a general rule that there could only be members 18+.

FF is family friendly and welcome all ages. That why we dont like forums to promote consumption of alcohol on the forums. Thus why I suggested B&N.

I dont know too many chapter who have age restrictions in their groups.

has that recently changed? I recall trying to start a Philly FF back in 2001/2002, and was unsuccessful because a few of those that were interested in joining were still in high school and there was some sort of "parental approval" needed.

to my knowledge since I have been RSA ....2002? The only age restriction is that the CR needs to be at least 18 to represent your chapter. Other than that there are not any age restrictions. :)

Yes, I remember you telling me that Dana. :p Thanks for the support my friend.

I wasn't suggesting doing something like a bar or something age restrictive strawbary for general meetings. I know its best (and the right thing) to do things that are safe for all ages.

    Well, that's settled then.....
Now all you need to do is decide on a time, date and location.....

Herb, if you have anyone under 18, you should ask them to have their parents contact you for permission and such. We do that with our underaged members now. The parents have our contact no. and are pretty good with it.

Thanks for the advice Marie. :)

I remember that was discussed for a while. If and when we do start up, we'll probably do something similar.
