FF:NSW Supanova 2006

So, who here's going to Supanova? Also, if there are a few people going do ya wanna meet up on one of the days and have lunch? I haven't seen the people here for a long while and wanna catch up and stuff

 

Im going the whole weekend and Linda is going on Saturday.

Ill try n meet up with people one of the days, though i tend to wander on my own alot. I seem to know a lot of people at these things, so if i stick with one group i tend to slwo them down.

Im such a nerd.

anyway, Ill definitely catch up with people there. Ill b there both days and the preview night friday night.

 

Most likely going, with mum, maybe we should make her an honorary member here with like a badge or something? But um, yeah should be going. not sure what day, but hey if i had it my way id go both days. Does anyone know the website address?

Definitely going to be there, not making any solid plans for anything though. I have a couple of things happening and I tend to wind up having lunch/dinner with people that's organised at the last minute.

 

I was planning to go, but trying to save for a deposit on a house in the northern beaches is putting a strangle hold on things like this...

What do people think of the change in venue, from Wharf 8 to Sydney Olympic Park?

 

I understand the shift in location for a larger venue. But for the guests, I know it has caused an issue or two accomodation wise. Also for interstate con patrons.

 

not to keen on it myself. It will limit food optins for one, and i liked being able to just walk down from Wynyard nice and easy.

Ill b interested to see the venue itself however.

Meaning, that while Homebush has an Ikea (Something everyone needs after a sci-fi con...) the pro in favour of Wharf 8 is that it's not Homebush.

I just bought a new desk from Ikea for $35! Yay!

The first Supanova was at Homebush in case folks have forgotten...I hope they utilise the space out there, the last Supanova I went to (uhm in 2004 I think) was so crowded and I imagine it'll be pretty massive this year. Hell, I'm tempted to go just to win the lucky door prize (a Wii!) but I'd just end up spending money I don't have on stuff I don't need. Besides, Phantom comics are pretty much non existant at Supanova these days, thanks to anime taking over. It would take Sy Barry himself making an apperance to get me to go to Supanova.

 

That's a shame, I'm thinking Juan should make an appearance.
