Text based MMORPGs

Anyone play these? I used to play Vagabonds Quest. For a time it was very addicting.

I now play Kings of Chaos. Its quite fun. You build up an army by having others click your "unique Link"(btw mines in my profile, if youd like to click it). Every time someone clicks it, it adds one untrained soldier to your army. You can then train them to be Attack specialists or Defence specialists, or Spys. You then raise the army to attack others. You can sabotage weapons and spy on others, also.


Anyone play any good ones?

 

Well, I played the Discworld MUD which is a text-based RPG - very addictive also

 

What is that about?

 

I tried to get into some SW muds awhile back bit it was too confusing.

 

The Discworld MUD? Basically it's a text-only MUD based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld series...with all the obligatory stats, number-chasing and combat of a normal MUD. You can choose to join a guild, such as Warriors, Thieves, Priests, Wizards, Assassins, Witches...good fun.

Anyone play Legend of the Jedi?

VERY addicting... It is awesome. right now i have a duros character, and they are the best for multitalented characters. In this mud anyway.
Hmm, i was just gonna post a new topic that advertised for it too...

It is the best mud ive ever played, and i can say that honestly.

 

What is this "mud" everyone is talking about?

Is it an acronym for something?

 

I played Tradewars... Is that the kind of game you're talking about?

 

MUD stands for Multi User Dungeon or Multi User Dimention. Either works.
Theyre basically like Galaxies, only tehres no graphics, and you actually role play like youre the character, instead of just going around killing things and asking for skills to be taught.. a lot more to it than that. and they ADDICTIVE!!!
