    Arguments!

    1. Rookie One is way hotter. I mean, just look at this guy. :p
    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/7/75/RookieOne5.jpg]

    2. Rookie One was one of the few pilot survivors of the Battle of Yavin against the first death star after training under Farrell who was highly impressed with Rookie One as a young pilot.

    3. Rookie One was the sole survivor of Rascal Squadron's attack on the Imperial Mining facility.

    4. Can fly a TIE, an X-wing, and a Y-wing.

    5. According to Rebel Assault: The Official Insider's Guide, he appears to have some force sensitivity which could give him that extra edge to beat out Biggs in this fight. Rookie One is a survivor and he's got the experience and skill to take out Biggs.

I've also been looking through an old marvel comic. Back home in the desert, Biggs was not only the one person who could keep with Luke in a Skyhopper, he often beat him (See the comic Crucible). While not combat piloting, its a testament to how good a pilot Biggs was- able to keep and exceed Luke Skywalker

Ahem, an inexperienced Luke Skywalker thank you very much. Gotta keep the context in mind always.

The same Luke Skywalker, more or less, that blew up a Death Star, to keep full context there. ;)

Didn't Luke receive some sort of quick training before the Battle of Yavin? Luke was aware of his Force ability at Yavin. Not to mention he was lightly trained in the Force as well.

So chances are you'd have a Luke that was a little more rounded, along with the most basic understanding of the Force, not too much of a difference, but enough where I wouldn't want to use that comparison straight up. :p

And pre Baron Fel trained and battle tested Biggs Darklighter, to keep it in context.

Biggs has the skill advantage, being considered the equal of Luke in his youth, and then being trained by probably the best Starfighter pilot trainer in history (Fel) means that he'd probably overcome R1, despite Rookies experience advantage.

    Wedge wasily accounts for Octa

That's an appropriate face for that pilot:

    1. Anakin (ouch)
    2. Tesar (It's debatable on what we have on both, but I believe there's more on Tesar to give the win to him...and there's the Force.)

Again, I have to harp on quality of experience over amount of experience. Garn's faced far heavier odds and come out on top. Tesar shows up a lot, but how often is he in a cockpit, and how often do we hear what he accomplished?

I wouldn't say odds, in terms of pure numbers, maybe odds in overall difficulty. However neither rate anywhere near to what we'd see from Either Rogue, Wraith, or the 181st. That said I'm gonna need much more if you think you can change my mind on this Typo.

Well, I'll make an attempt, but I'm going to need a little time to put together a decent argument.

Hey, guys. I'm not going to be on for the next two and a half weeks or so. I'm leaving the country and I'm sure I won't be able to post here. So I won't be able to argue or send in numbers.

And I fully expect to see when I've returned one of two things:

    a) A win a la Jenn

    b) This thread has basically been lifeless as per usual :p
