The weird thing about Trump's implosion was the comment that caused it...that Trump supported the Iraq war. Was that really a hill to shout Sean Hannity on? And by "ask Sean Hannity", was he referring to a private conversation they had, or something recorded? If it's the former, I'm not just going to take his word about you "being right" in private. If it's the latter, wouldn't it have been found by now?

Since the debate was never going to be about issues, I think it's kind of cool that Hillary made Alicia Machado an overnight international celebrity sensation. I don't know what she's been doing for the past 20 years, but it's time for Dancing With the Stars.

The idea of Trump frog-marching her to the gym through a gauntlet of reporters is just so evocative and absurd.

This is the thing: Trump takes small things YUGELY because he is so thin-skinned. He just can't deal with it. That's why you seem perplexed that the Iraq War question caused him to go off. Well, you likely have a better temperament than he does. It goes to his head and gets him flustered. That's what happened last night.

Like Mark Cuban says, the problem with Trump is he refuses to own anything he has ever said in the past and just say either A) I was wrong and move on or B) I learned from it and move on.

But he is stuck on stupid.

But she deserved the sexist ethnocentric comments she got from Trump. Trump only says sexist/racist/ethnocentric things to people who deserve them.

After all that talk of him not going to, a doctor, Hospital, or being sick since he was a little kid and all that stuff about Hillary not having the stamina to go through a campaign. just the other day a tabloid said she had MS totally ridiculous. I think he was on cocaine. Obviously Trump is a physical specimen and doesn't get sick:rolleyes: When you are running for president and you dish it out like trump you deserve everything you get.

Has anyone on here seen the Donald Trump, Howard Stern interview? and what he was doing during Vietnam and what he was scared he would get because of it, It Is disgusting and startling, I would post it but not sure if it would be appropriate?

I don't agree. There are way too many real issues to attack Trump on; resorting to tactics worthy of Trump to attack Trump just looks desperate and childish.

Look at the grin on Trump's face at 29 seconds. There's the future president of the U.S.

but of course everyone is playing along. It's kind of grotesque even for 1996.

I'm sorry your desire to revenge takes over any desire to behave like an adult. What you have described IS playground behavior. It's also the problem with Donald Trump.

If you do not support him, you should consider walking away from that attitude.

    Meanwhile...

Last night's debate will be shown in gender studies classes for years to come

If you're a Buddhist, you know that "He did it first! I'm gonna get him!" is not how karma works.

Maybe he meant the Buddhist writings centered on the karmic "He done me wrong so I will kick his arse"?

I am not talking about revenge I am talking about Karma,
    Karma
Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

that is what I am talking about not revenge...

you know George Lucas was a Buddhist and the very idea of Karma, which is if you are a good person who does good things good things happen to you but if you are a bad person and do bad things bad things will happen to you, I do not wish bad things on even my enemies but When you do bad things I believe eventually bad things will befell you, that is just the Buddhist way and It was written into the Yoda Force storyline in star wars!

Where is the part where you personally are charged with dishing out that suffering?

Calling that "karma" does not change the fact that it's Trump behavior.

I have no political ideology. I would have thought that distinction was clear from the fact that we're talking strictly about politics here. Quite obviously I have personal ideologies in other realms. But I don't subscribe to any one guiding political principle, and neither do all voters.

I do not remotely think that I have flawless logic or all the answers. One of the hallmarks of my politics is that I'm actually interested in listening to others and thinking of compromises. I'm also open to changing my views. This happens all the time for me in discussions here.

But to pretend that general idea of taking issues one at a time and being open to practical compromises is a political ideology on par with, say, your Marxist ideology is incorrect. There was no one book I read that laid out a whole type of government system that I back. There's no party platform I'm interested in backing. There's no one governmental system I support.

And I find it laughable that you of all people feel comfortable accusing anyone else here of having a "teenage" attitude towards politics. Really, Mr. "Stalin Was Great"? C'mon. There are several socialists here who manage to subscribe to a similar ideology as you do without sounding like rebellious teenagers.

The closest thing I have to a political ideology is that I generally think adults should be able to do what they like as long as it's not harming someone else. But that basically only covers issues of personal freedoms, and has nothing to do with many, many other areas of governance. And for instance, I have very, very few opinions on economics, because I haven't studied it enough to feel educated on it and to be able to have an opinion. Whereas most political ideologies have a specific view of economic policy that they subscribe to. I absolutely do not.

It's also pretty intellectually dishonest to act like you've never heard of the distinction between political ideologues and people who are politically flexible and independent. This terminology is a very common aspect of political discussion. People know what an ideologue is or isn't in politics.

But I think the thing that's most puzzling to me is your original statement that I must be joking by saying I'm not an ideologue. That implies you assume there's a specific political ideology that I quite obviously subscribe to, yet you couldn't name one.

I don't think *no one* here knows me, Mike. I think it's fairly particular to you and a few others who somehow have this ridiculous picture of me as one type of person. Yet you yourself recently seemed shocked that I hadn't voted for anyone, in particular Obama because I didn't agree with his drone policy, for instance. Or that I had long considered America imperialist. Those didn't fit whatever strange picture you have of me as some type of conservative.

So if that's not what you were hinting at, I'm not sure what political ideology you think so obviously fits me. And by the way, someone can't accidentally be an ideologue. The whole notion of a political ideologue is that you have a prescribed set of ideals that you both believe in and lobby for as the best guiding principle of governance. And hell, I don't even think every country ought to be a democratic republic, so I'm not sure how I can be viewed as a political ideologue. I'm not saying that makes me super cool and special. I'm just stating a fact.
