I hardly know anyone on the ballots! I'm with NYJ and C...I think there's even less '02 patrons on there than there was last time and I know a lot of them who are still around and kicking...

It is truly a sad day when the Jifty Award no longer goes to Jifty. We all know who will win the Secret Rebel award, though. Some things never change.

I can't believe this, after winning two awards last time and being on the final ballot for 6 last time, i am not even on the ballot ONCE this time.

What is happening in the EUC?

I'm only voting for categories in which I know someone nominated. So... about three. Is it us oldbies who are so disconnected from the younger crowd, or are they just hanging out in one or two threads where we never see them?

Yes, the Awards are only open to people who have been relatively active in the EUC for at least 2 months, both in the nominations and voting.


I'm only voting for categories in which I know someone nominated. So... about three. Is it us oldbies who are so disconnected from the younger crowd, or are they just hanging out in one or two threads where we never see them?

I noticed a large influx of voters and votes for people from threads like The Dark Side and the X-wing series Fan Club - two of the newer additions to the EU Community and two threads where a large percentage of EUC's newer patrons hang out. I also noticed a decrease in votes from 02'ers and older since the last time I ran the Awards a year ago, thus resulting in the greater representation of newer and more comparatively active members of EUC. I guess that with the "fading" of the older social threads and fan clubs like the Wes Janson Fan Club, the Wraith Squadron Fan Club, Skylark's Cafe, and NJ's Docking Bay, we're seeing the older users leaving the forum (to a degree) and newer users coming along and joining the newer clubs... maybe we're just all intimidated by the 02's, 01's, 00's, and 99's.


Anyways, I've received close to 20 sets of votes already. Please keep them coming in!
