OOC: I'm not going to post as Ashardalon or Choji until oppaizombie posts as the Guyver. It is only fair to wait.

Tien

Quidditch Field: Hogwarts

Tien reacted as quickly as possible, noting that one of his Dodon Rays had hit, or at least grazed, the cheek of his opponent. With four arms ready, Tien's third eye almost anticipated the next attack, having taken into account how skilled the man was with a firearm and a knife. Tien watched the man land, roll, scoop up his knife, and fire two shots. The shots headed straight for Tien, and he didn't have time to dodge, so he did the next best thing...

The two extra arms folded themselves in front of Tien's face, blocking one shot and diverting the next across his cheek. It stung terribly, but not as much as the one that pierced the arm. It fell limp to Tien's side as his arms lowered to reveal a deep scratch across his left cheek, blood seeping from the cut.

The three-eyed Z-Fighter was not about to lose so quickly. The two extra arms, the gimp one and the funtional one, formed back into Tien's body as he raised his hands to his face, palms facing inward. He kept Paul within his triple-gaze and soon all light around them flashed brilliantly, enough to blind any caught within eyeshot. "SOLAR FLARE!" Surely, if Paul had been focused on Tien to make another offensive move, the bright flash would blind him temporarily. However, the shot was slim in and of itself...

John McClane - Malachor V: Trayus Core

"****," McClane laughed, then paused to take another drag of his smoke. "I'm the worst person to ask that." Standing around with the two of them talking, the off-duty cop could finally take a moment to look around him. The arena was beyond gothic in its architecture. McClane couldn't even begin to guess where they were, but Hell seemed as likely a place as anyway. "But, whoever they are, we can bet we aren't entertaining them that much just sitting around talking." He knew the time was ticking, and that the short respite would soon end. Absently McClane fingered his handgun. The casual chit-chat would have to end, but he'd let the demon break it as it was purely his charity that had let it happen at all.

Guyver III - The Bastion of Unborn Souls: Soul Falls

Agito articulated the G-units potential and hit the ground besides the remains of several of the spawned monkeys without any sense of disorientation from the series of violent spins. His frequency swords were tinged in red, but their sonic vibrations soon dispersed the stains completely. As he stood there the sensor orbs locked onto another violent attack from the dragon. Agito's pride was satisified, at least the dragon thought him great enough to engage. But, his reaction to the attack was taken by another: the portly Ninja. Looking much different, and with a pair of glowing wings no less, he had swiftly appeared next to him and had, singlehandedly, stayed the dragon's claws.

Guyver III did not break to thank the Ninja at all, as the monkey's cloud companion was speeding towards him. The misty mass confused his sensors, and not risking an attack with his blades, retracted them and pulled his palms side by side before his waist. The gravity gyro charged and betwixt the two hands formed a smallish orb that shimmered with untold power. Aware that he had gathered enough power, he shot his arms forwards. The pressure ball lanced towards the cloud upon a direct and unstoppable course.

Paul Muad'Dib

Paul caught a glimpse of blinding light emanating from Tien's eyes. Thinking quickly, he shielded his eyes, but even that was not enough to stop the light.

Paul blinked in pain - Tien was an amazing fighter, he had to admit.

Even as his sight returned, very slowly, Paul had the benefit of prescience - Tien's attacks would come as little surprise, the chief problem would be figuring out ways to deal with them in such a short span of time.

Paul charged forward. He closed to attack range, and, feinting to the left with the knife, delivered a powerful kick to the man's right knee. He brought his knife up, switching hands in a flash, and with it now in his left hand, Paul slashed at Tien's throat.

OOC: I'd like to remind everyone that even if your character dies, they are moved to a losers bracket where they have one last chance to come out on top as the winner. This is double-elimination after all.

Tien

Quidditch Field: Hogwarts

Tien's opponent was clearly blinded, and although temporary, he was still charging! The man knew where Tien was, and was prepared to kill. Paul had prescience, that much Tien was aware of. How else could he still press an attack? Unless it was sheer luck that he knew where the three-eyed man was.

Paul neared and Tien readied himself. That damned knife was back in his opponent's hand. Tien, anticipating the knee, blocked with his own in a much mirrored maneuver and kept his normal eyes focused on the man himself. The third eye carefully monitored the knife, moving swiftly back and forth as the man feinted and prepared for an attack after switching hands. If Tien's own eyes could keep up with the seemingly-invisible forms of his friends while in combat, surely the more powerful third-eye could do something similar.

The third eye flashed, but not as brightly as the Solar Flare had been. Tien, on impulse, shot another beam from his eye, with only enough power to stun an individual for a short period of time. This beam, thinner and less powerful than the aforementioned Dodon Ray, was aimed straight at Paul's knife, in an attempt to either throw it off it's intended course (bringing it lower or higher depending on the force put back through Atreides' arm) or to jettison it from Paul's hand entirely.

The door, miraculously, opened. Connor withdrew his crushed digits with all the urgency and speed of a cat who's stepped in icy water, whereupon they healed almost instantly. Then Connor raised his sword. Marcus had come...it was time to truly begin the battle. He felt optimistic about his chances; it seemed obvious from the amount of guns that Marcus was a mortal. But no! Connor was not the Kurgan...he always imagined his opponent as the worst they could be. That way, he was never surprised. Marcus was, therefore, a highly dangerous adversary, Immortal, with dozens of Quickenings and possible other abilities.

The buzz-saw bayonet was Connor's main problem. He could survive any number of shots, but that bayonet had to go. So, in perfect Six Harmonies chinese blade style, he danced to Marcus's left side, slapping the bayonet to the right, shoved against the stock with his left hand, whirling to the left to close the distance between them, and spinning his sword round toward the side of Marcus's throat as he shoved simultaneously on the rifle with his left arm, going, as always, for the decapitation stroke.

TAG: Marcus

OOC: Just to clarify, this is a fairly simple Shaolin sword strike, meant to be used against a spear, horse-staff, or other longer range weapon; simple, but it's not simple on paper, I guess. From Marcus's perspective, Connor would be on his right side, back facing him, sword in right hand cutting for his neck, left hand pushing against the rifle in an attempt to turn Marcus around so that Connor can slash the back of his neck without interruption. Hope that's not too confusing. ;)

OOC 2 EDIT: Monkey post coming as soon as everyone's caught up, just so I can do it all in a shot, rather than IC: Monkey's Cloud or IC: Little Monkey number 7...see you then. :)

Paul saw his opponent's eye glow for a mere instant, but a mere instant was all the Kwisatz Haderach needed.

As the ray shot from Tien's third eye, Paul's body moved in a blur, the result of total muscle and nerve control. He had moved two feet nigh on instantly.

Paul continued, drawing his pistol and using his final two shots. They flew towards Tien, just to his left. Tien would move to his right, which Paul anticipated with eerie foresight. He flung the Crysknife from beneath his robe, at where Tien would need to move to dodge the shots.

Ashardalon

The Bastion of Unborn Souls: Soul Falls

The demonic dragon, clearly astounded that his massive blow only thought to be blocked by some lesser demi-power, was blocked by some stranger. No, not a stranger, but the boy from earlier... the one who rolled over him earlier... the one who killed his disciple. Ashardalon tried to force his hand further, finding that it couldn't move. The boy, a rather Fey-looking creature now, had stopped the blow entirely. "WHAT SORCERY IS THIS? PALADIN, CALL OFF YOUR FEY COMPANION!" The dragon demanded of Agito.

The dragon, clearly preoccupied with the amazing block administered by such a formerly weak opponent, that he failed to realize that the great Sage had split himself into multiple selves yet again, and this time swarmed over him like hordes of ants or insects. As he looked downward to the crawling pests, the great Agito had fired an amazing attack, and whether it was directed at Ashardalon was unknown, but should it miss, it would strike Ashardalon at his weak point: his heart.

[blockquote]Choji had never felt so strong. The chakra coursing through his body was amazing, and it was enhancing almost every aspect of Choji: his senses were sharper, his body was more durable, and his strength rivaled that of the Guyver now (supposedly). The young shinobi wrenched the wrist of the dragon backward with minimal effort and flew forward at the dragon's gaping maw, sending chakra enhanced punches at the draconic beast. Chunks of red scales and bony spikes flew from the dragon's face as Choji dealt blow after blow, a visible blue fire exploding from the contact of scale and flesh.

However, should Choji not succeed in defeating the dragon, the Great Sage, and the Guyver, the pills he ingested would kill him indefinitely. There was no escape, only death soon to follow.[/blockquote]

Tien

Quidditch Field: Hogwarts

[blockquote]The final gunshot whizzed towards Tien as he brought his hand upward to catch the bullet, only to drop the smashed shell to the ground. A dodge was not possible, and clearly the move had been unexpected on Paul's part. Were Tien an ordinary human, the dodge and feint would be expected, but the third-eye had to be a dead giveaway that Tien was no mere human.

Tien was about to defend against the knife once more, when one of the Seekers flew between them, causing a great gust of wind to follow. The wind knocked the three-eyed Z Fighter into the air, and the man leapt higher to avoid a bludger that seemed to come down from the sky at a deadly angle, running below Tien's legs to chase after the Seeker. However, it was on a crash course with the ground in front of Atreides.

"Now's my chance," Tien thought as he placed his hands in a tent-like shape, clearly taking Paul's next moves into account. Were he to jump upward to dodge the bludger, he couldn't fly to avoid a direct energy blast; were he to dodge or roll to either side, he would still be caught within the massive perimeter of Tien's most powerful technique. Use of such a technique drained Tien's health at the cost of the energy expended, but if it stopped the man from winning and killing Tien, perhaps it was worth trying.

Tien wouldn't wait for the bludger to strike, giving himself time to gather his energy. "TRI-BEAM!" He fired the first blast, the large square formed from yellow energy headed straight towards Paul, the next few to be fired would depend upon where Paul would move next. Should Tien fire any more than ten blasts, his lifeforce would be void, and he would surely die.

The empty somersault cloud was struck by the swordsman's attack at full force, and with the sort of roar that rattles teeth in skulls, the somersault cloud exploded. In an ever widening ring of kinetic force, the cloud spread out from the point of impact, spinning like an enormous tornado for a moment before imploding with a rumble. The power ball was left more or less intact, though it glanced off at an angle.
Sun Wukong, the Monkey God, was, to his delight, unnoticed by the dragon. Swiftly, he sent through his mental connection with his slaves, Swarm up and cover the dragon's mouth! This, unfortunately, proved to be too complex a charge, and the monkeys paused momentarily, baffled. The foremost monkey (the most handsome one, with thick, lustrous fur), gritting his teeth and hopping up and down in exasperation, sent a blur of images to the effect that the dragon's nose was the tastiest food in the known universe. With shrieks of joy, the monkeys set off, climbing the dragon's enormous scales like jungle foliage.
The Great Sage was just congratulating himself on a job well done when the irritating warrior with the wings came rocketing up, battering at the dragon on the face. In his attack, several monkeys were unceremoniously squashed. Sun Wukong was, thus, forced to call them all back again. Truly annoyed now, Monkey abandoned all thoughts of subtlety, and leapt into the air beside the dragon, where, in an instant, he swelled to twice his normal size, and slammed his cudgel toward the dragon's chest like a woodsman trying to chop down a tree, still growing even as he swung.
Should he be successful in his goal of knocking the dragon through the nearest obliging surface, the Great Sage fully intended to extend his assault to the other two warriors, who were really getting on his nerves. This wasn't at all how he had envisioned his glorious return to the mortal plane. As of yet, Monkey's token arrogance had held firm; the thought that he, the Great Sage Equal of Heaven, Sun Wukong, the Handsome Monkey King, might conceivably lose hadn't even entered his most shadowy imaginings. Thus, while striking at the dragon, he carelessly presented his back to the creature who had destroyed his cloud.

Guyver III

"He's no companion of mine, dragon," Agito spoke through the oscillators of the Guyver. He had little to say to the beast for now as he was in the grips of a mental fight against his doubt, overshadowed though it was by his arrogance and pride.

With the other combatants using various metamorphic abilities to increase their size or their strength, Guyver III, further more Agito, began to battle with the possibility that he was quickly becoming outmatched; even the appearance of such, stirred the teenager's pride and sent it whorling indignantly about his head. His knowledge of the Guyver, however, of its raw and distinct power, could not be questioned- would not. He had fought numerous hyper-zoanoids and even their absolute masters: the zoalords. From what he gathered of the others in the arena, by their attacks which so far had been purely physical, the latter surpassed the others by energy alone. Based upon that conclusion, he may not be as strong but he was certainly as powerful.

With this mental conflict still unresolved, Agito returned his attentions to the arena and braced for the impact of the exploding cloud. The powerful force sent waves of displaced air about before the whirling chaos abated abruptly through implosion. The pressure cannon, having richocetted off the cloud hurled off somewhere and for the moment was not important to the G-unit.

Not even halfway into the fight Agito, casting his doubts aside, suddenly changed tactics. Playing it discreet was getting nowhere. All attacks were being directed upon the dragon. His role was that of a gnat flying annoyingly about. This would not do. The Guyver was no pest.

Breaking off from the outskirts of the the fight, Guyver III dashed towards the triple-threat melee. His frequency swords extended rapidly in their organic hiss as he bore towards the combatants but it was the head beam pearl whiched he attacked with first. Coruscating, smallish lines lanced out from the minute point as if drawn quickly across the air with a laser brush. The beams honed in automatically on various targets: the dragon's plated chest, the back of the fighting monkey and the Ninja who had so recently changed into a stronger version of himself. As he drew closer, Agito continued to attack with his head beams. He had thought, before deciding on direct engagement, to use the Guyver's ultimate weapon - the megasmasher - on his opponents. So attentive to the dragon they might not have noticed it before alrady becoming engulfed in its destructive force. Still, Agito could not risk it, not yet. Timing, for that weapon, was everything.

Monkey was now an impressive figure indeed. A colossus, over fifty feet in height and still growing, his eyes a blazing crimson, his fangs opened in a shriek, his cudgel thick around as a rice bowl.

And, at that most inconvenient of moments, a powerful attack like lightning hit him from the back, scorching his fur severely, and giving him the unmistakable sensation that he might have made a slight error.
With a most unimpressive whoop of pain, the Monkey King half turned, red eyes watering slightly, but continued his swing. One at a time...one at a time....but oh, wouldn't that little devil pay when Monkey could put his hands on him!

The beam and the attacks of the Great Sage glanced the chest of the demon-dragon, breaking through scale and bone, revealing a raw, fleshy underbelly that pulsed with unholy blood. Organs and muscle twitched as the soulstuff on the ground swirled and crawled up the dragon, mending itself into the great gash caused by the almighty Paladin. The souls formed skin for the dragon, and he would soon turn all of his attention to those in front of him.

With a great inhale, the dragon exhaled a massive spray of fire, but not ordinary dragon fire. Unholy, demonic fire. Gods feared it, and mortals couldn't escape it. Ashardalon turned his head in all directions to burn the pests who disturbed both his chambers and his slumber.

The three-eyes man fired another two blasts in rapid succession at Paul, several wizards practically falling off of their brooms to avoid it. The spectators in the crowd weren't worried as much for the wizards as they were for the two intruders who had just "appeared" out of nowhere.

"HA! HA! HA!" With every shout, a new blast. A total of six were fired: the initial one, the two extras, and the following three. A bludger, thankfully, absorbed one of the mighty blasts, but was incinerated by the sheer force of energy behind it. Monkey's blow landed with an extremely satisfactory crash, and he spun immediately, raising his cudgel to crush the foolish lout who dared to assault his...his...
At that moment, the Great Sage became aware of two things simultaneously. The first was that the dragon wasn't a dragon as he knew it...his demon-seeking eyes caught, in his peripheral vision, the fall of scales, the opening wound. The second (this from a terrific rumble building up behind him) was that he, Sun Wukong, was in danger.
Monkey desperately tried to summon his somersault cloud, began his shrinking spell, but he had been too eager to squash the swordsman to even think of anything else. The flames struck the Great Sage with a roar, sweeping him to the other side of the chamber in an instant and smashing him into the corner, where the rubble of the walls collapsed around him.
As for the Great Sage, he was in a position, to be polite, where he could admire the damage done to his posterior region (rather considerable; a lot of his handsome golden fur had been burnt and blackened) without any trouble whatsoever. The broken pieces of the wall built up on top of Monkey, entombing him in darkness.
