Social The Cloud City Cantina (v21.0): The Last Cantina

It's okay. Probably my least favorite. I mean it's still Potter so I like it. Not really into Gilderoy Lockhart.

 

I researched HP film rankings on YouTube yesterday and after watching approximately nine different videos, no two rankings were the same lol.

Three people did have POA at #1 tho.
My fav, OOTP, was ranked last by three different people.

The most consistently ranked in the top 4 was GOF, 7/9 times with 2 #1s, 3 #3s, and a #2 and #4. Yet one person ranked it last lol.

It was interesting to see and hear all the different opinions as to ranking them. The HP fandom seems to be all over the place when it comes to ranking the films.
Much moreso than SW fans, where trends are much more apparent.

 

Goblet of Fire is a fun one. It's almost a side quest, as it mostly deals with the school year, except at the end when it gets dark. OOTP may be tied with POA as my favorite.

 

That’s so unlike Star Wars where most rankings will either have ROTS or Empire at the top.

 

i'm not sure those films are good just because they are dark though. in the case of the last 3 Potter films they are almost dreary. the magical fun quality of the earlier films is gone

 

People think Revenge of the Sith is better than Empire?

 

I'm always bummed to see AOTC ranked dead last so frequently; here, there, and everywhere. I just don't get it. Oh well. It doesn't matter anyhow.

 

Oh I know the last ones are almost depressing in tone.

ROTS was my second favorite, after Empire, until R1 came out. R1 is a masterpiece, imo.

But oddly, I like the quirky idiosyncracies of TLJ quite a lot and it will most likely rise as I see it more times. Whereas TFA drops upon each rewatch for me and currently occupies dead last.

Empire Strikes Back is just epic on a whole 'nother level, imo. But I respect other's opinions.

 

AOTC isn't dead last. TPM is last. Practically forgettable, IMO.

Empire will always be my favorite SW film. I could watch that on a weekly basis if need be lol.

Most lists still have Empire at the top, but even here the second most liked movie is ROTS.

The theatrical The Clone Wars movie is a guilty pleasure for me. I got it on DVD for my ninth birthday, and I was allowed to stay up late to watch it.
