JCC The disappointing "End of the World Party" Thread

I'm thinking of sleeping in my suit for the next few weeks just to make sure I'm always ready to party.

 

I'm totally envisioning Rylo doing a disco dance in an underground bunker with emergency lights and air raid sirens going off. Anyway, it's 30 minutes' flight time for an ICBM to reach North America from Russia, so make it short and sweet!

Doesn't the Bible explicitly spell out that only God knows when Jesus will return to Earth? How do we keep getting this sort of "ooo, if we really read into this hopelessly vague passage and parse these arcane codewords this way, we can figure out when the Rapture will happen" stupidity?

 

Because we human beings can't live with uncertainty, it seems.

 

Can they delay it a little long so I can at least see Infinity War first?

 

Well generally it's not the actual Last Day, it's the start of the End Times which could last a long time, long enough for people to forget all about it.

 

Seven years according to some biblical scholars. Just about the length remaining on a possible Donald Trump two term presidency.
