wow. I can not believe the Geriatric thread is still going....I think when I started the ward my youngest was a toddler-she is now 15.

 

Fifteen? Why does she never come to visit? Darned kids never have time for their elders anymore, always got their noses stuck in those electrical phones. Things were different in my day. We had respect, and we were glad!

 

She is a Trekkie......

 

There's a support group down the hall for moms with Trekkie daughters. It's the room between the cafeteria and the AA meeting.

 

How could you let that happen?

 

I figured I would start to slowly win her over, her brother (now 23) caught the SW bug as we had a tradition; when one of the SW movies were released, I would allow him to skip school to see the premier with me, started with him in elementary and ended with high school.
DarthFiona (fitting moniker for a teenage girl) will only be able to skip school in high school to see with mom-o fcourse, we just returned from Disney (6 days school skipped) and she was able to take a selfie with Darthvader so that's helping.

We will get there.
