Are Luke and Obi Wan the only Jedi left in ANH?

Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Luke are the only ones that matter.

Technically there are a few more out there, but they have either renounced or lost their power, and don't really matter. :p

as Yoda says when he's about to die "when gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be" to Luke..so I'd say Yoda, Obi-Wan and Luke are it.

They are the last Jedi Yoda knows about- all the others are in exile, have renounced their status, in hibernation, or have been captured or killed by the Empire.

Yep, basically any Jedi left are of no use to Luke. Though Brand does prove to be pretty useful later one when he killed the last clone of Palpatine

Leia doesn't count. But in EU, she DOES have a red lightsaber than she built...or did Luke give it to her?

you also forgot Anakin. But he's Darth Vader, so he probably does not count.

Officially, Luke is the last Jedi, since Leia has no training, and the Emperor and Vader are Sith.

EU wise, as everyone else has been saying, there are several other Jedi, most going the hermit route like Quinlan Vos. Of course, there are untapped Force users like Streen, but they don't really count. Again, no training.

If you want to get technical, in ANH Obi-Wan is the only Jedi left. Luke is not a Jedi, and you can't call his 5 minutes in Obi-Wan's hut or on the Falcon with the remote much training. Yoda was not even a thought when ANH came out, so if you read the question and VaderGuy's first comment literally, you can't count him either. Vader is Sith, so he's out. If you take the OT as a whole, Kenobi and Yoda were the last of the Jedi before Luke in ROTJ. EU doesn't count in OT talk.

Because some OT fans get...touchy when people suggest the EU exists and try to use it as evidence. *Shrug* I don't really care one way or another...

    1. OT EU did not have a lot of continuity with stories that took place in between movies, a lot of the older stories not having GL approval. 2.This OT area is discussion on the films, so OT EU post ROTJ is irrelevant discussion here.

PS-I do like the clone wars novels..GL got a bit hands on approving storylines, etc. so those books are as close to "canon" as possible without him actually writting them.

Yes, but the question was "are Yoda and Ben the only jedi left?" THe movies say yes, however, remember Yoda has been wrong before. How bout the fact that Yoda says "once you start down the darkside path, forever willit dominate your destiny?" That wasnt correct

The EU is all created by other people who Lucas' companies have allowed to flesh out the details of the broad strokes Lucas gave us glimpses of in the OT. The world will probably never know exactly which parts of the EU George Lucas "blesses" and which parts he never would have dreamed up in a million years. It's easier to just ignore the entirety of the EU, rather than try to guess what Lucas intended. Everyone will have different guesses.

    >>I do like the clone wars novels..GL got a bit hands on approving storylines, etc.<<

He actually played just as much a role in approving or contributing to many of the post-ROTJ EU stories.
