I also can't believe what's about to happen is going to happen.
Well, Koragg the Knight Wolf is his other identity, so to me, that means he is both, otherwise yes, I'd rather have him as the evil version which is Koragg the Knight Wolf.
Provided BaSSiL picks in the next few hours, some breakdowns should be coming tonight. Finally was able to borrow Beowulf, so I want to give that second viewing beforehand. Man, the things I do for you guys.
Hey, I'm over here watching Dino Thunder. I feel your pain.
Is this the same guy from those after school specials who plays the creepy guy in a car who tries to convince you that your mom is sick and you need to get in his car?
If not, man does he look the part ...
I think Power Rangers was his way of trying to distance himself from that role.
Personally, I think I'd rather be known as the creepy "Hey, kid, you want some candy?" guy.
Okay, here is the Koragg the Knight Wolf picture.
The Beast (Kung-Fu Hustle)
Saruman (Lord of the Rings) *No B-Level Material*
Pics, quotes(maybe), and update when I figure out what I want as a team name.

Yay, breakdowns. I don't usually go with the power ranking style, but it's nice to keep things fresh. I'll try my hardest to do these after every two rounds, and it should be interesting to see how things shift over the course of 14 rounds. The hero/villian ratio situation isn't playing too big a role in these first rankings, but that's not to say that it didn't affect a few things.
So, anyways, in order from least to beast as I see it so far. And please remember that these are in no way actual judgments, and only initial impressions.
12. darth_nemesis - Drake and Michael Myers
At least this spot was easy enough to figure out. What is this phenomenon where seemingly every draft just has to have that one squad that ends up as the "whipping boy"? Maybe there's been a draft where there hasn't been that runaway contender for the whipping boy title, but I honestly can't remember it if it did happen. I wonder if it's even worth holding out hope that we might one day see a draft where there's at least relative parity across the board.
Anyways, Drake would've been a fine pick... about three rounds or so after he was taken. And Myers is just... *sigh*. And the situation's even compounded by the fact that it's dilluting the villain pool even further. Were this a hero team that made a couple early blunders like this, given the current hero/villain situation, it wouldn't be too big a stretch to say that a decent recovery would be possible with good picks from here on out. But...
11. Inty - Beowulf and The Black Ranger (Tommy Oliver)
Just watched Beowulf again, and... yeah, I knew I wasn't forgetting something crucial that somehow made him first round material. He's got some good feats, though. Beowulf's a bit of an oddity. I could definitely see him holding his own against some pretty powerful melee-based characters on the list. But on the flip side of that coin, I can also see him going down (and I mean easily) to someone like Doc Holliday. He's nowhere near fast enough to dodge a bullet, even if he knew what a gun was. And in the end, he's just a... guy. He's got no powers, no nothing. Not what one usually looks for in a first round pick. My theory: I think you just wanted to argue that Beowulf would fight every match naked. In fact, I think you should name your team Beowulf's Bare Ass.
Tommy's a huge step back in the right direction, but we'll see if it's too little, too late as we move along. Because Tommy was... well, not the Ranger that should've gone first. Pretty close, I guess, but not quite. Yeah, maybe the best leader, maybe the most experienced, and absolutely not without power or skill, but he's just not the best.
10. TLI - Albus Dumbledore and Seraph
It's good that we finally got to see Dumby (and a lot of other Harry Potter characters) let loose in TOotP, because now we know that he belongs up here. Lots of power, great variety and can be firm and commanding leader when he has to be.
But it's not Dumby that landed you here for this first set of rankings. It's gotta be Seraph. Not that he's not strong or fast or skilled, because he is. But more in a one-or-even-two-rounds-later kind of way. He doesn't really bring anything that you couldn't have gotten from some other chracters, only those guys would've brought more on top of that.
That being said, with continued good-to-great picking I expect this team to make a move upwards if things continue on as they are.
9. Hamm - Illyria and Lestat
Pretty much a log jam situation between this team and the next two, so I wouldn't take this #9 ranking as too big a knock.
But I'd have to put you here mainly because of Illyria. I thought she went too high last time, and she didn't go much lower this time around. Not that she's not strong and tough, and not that her time powers won't be very useful, but the bottom line is, I can see maybe 5 or so second-rounders that have a good shot at beating her. Because really, that's how I tend to view her. As a very good second round pick. And I
Thanks for the breakdowns. Useful.
Agreed, good impressions Shurron.
Gandalf (Lord of the Rings) *no B-level material*
Appreciate the breakdowns, Shurron.
I'd planned on going Villain this draft, but by the time it rolled around, it looked like too many villain teams would pop up. So, I did some quick hero research, and found some good top-end feats for Beowulf. Plus, I've got a plan that hopefully will pay off in the end for me.
Did anybody see Beowulf in actual 3D?
Thanks for that!
And "GAR!" and "" at Tyi.
I think I have 2 people in mind that I will be able to get, whom will be steals I think and really help me in the Villain based draft
For my 3rd pick, I welcome Durza of Eragon fame.
~~~~~~~~~~Team Evil Monkey~~~~~~~~~~
If Evil Has a Name It's..
I was going to either pick Durza or Deacon, and I figured Deacon would last longer.
I can't let a God Vampire, who can be cut in half and live not get picked. heck he only has one weakness and only Blade knows that pretty much.
True dat. So was Durza even on your radar?
I have never heard of him, is he from Dune, because that seems to be one of the few movies/tv shows on this draft I have never seen.
Just read up on him, Eragorn eh? One of the other few I know nothing about
