Does anyone know of any record anywhere of the Mandalorian language being spoken/written? I need to get something inscribed. Please e-mail me at msmanus@yahoo.com if anyone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks, Tess

In the book Republic Commando: Hard Contact tehy're are several translations of Mandalorian. At Eirikstromtroopers's website there is a Mandalorian font. Also try googgling "Mandalorian Language"

Fierfek and di'kut and di'kutla are Mandalorian. Other common SW cusses are Stang, Frell, Blast, Damn and Hell.

I advise playing the original Knights of the Old Republic game. Tranlating an orphan raised by Mandalorians is one of the side-quests in the game.

If you do it without hints/cheating, it's a rather laborious process. You start by going through the basics - who you are, who it is, words for food, shelter, etc.

You essentially have to translate the Mandalorian language.

Ah yes I remember that part, got quite a lot of XP for it too.
You could also play the game Bounty Hunter. That may have some Mandalorian stuff. If not, its still a really good game.

Okay let's put it this way, I need to say something NICE in Mandalorian...LOL. THough I will remember those curse words next time I am out with the bf at an event. He plays Fett and I play his captured bounty. Would be nice to cuss him out in his own language.

I want to say... "You are my everything" in Mandalorian. I have googled the heck out of it and ever other search engine...nothing. A buddy of mine is on my doodie list cause he suggested translating it to Klingon instead. Grrrrrr.... some people.....grrrrr. LOL.
Basically I plan on proposing marriage but I am going to get a prop ring made for the occassion since we want to go shopping for the real rings together. And the prop ring can always be used as a prototype. Any other suggestions would be great...

    Thanks to all,

    Tess

Shoot the sucker with a heavy repeating blaster.

If he survives, then he's obviously Mandalorian enough to be your clanmate for life.

Well, the Galaxy Phrase Book and Travel Guide doesn't have Mandalorian. However, it does have Huttese. The closest I could come there is:
You are my kind of scum = U kulle rah doe kankee kung.

Get Ms.Traviss over here, she is the closest we have to an authority on the Mandalorian language here. But to be fair, the guy did do a lot of research. He looked at the RC lyrics. The stuff mentioned in RC:HC, and how the developers said it was based on Russian, Cletic War Chants and Hungarian. So, undoubtedly some of it is made up, but most of it is probaly "real"
