Well... I had my six week post op appointment on Thursday (lady parts), and my doctor said that I healed perfectly. My first physical therapy session is on the 28th of this month. Part of the therapy process entails... er... electrical stimulation - electrodes - I'm I crazy for finding that amazingly and awesomely kinky?

My three month post opp appointment for the hernia operation is on March 22 - hopefully I will be given the okay then for physical therapy - which is going to be pilates - gotta restrengthen my abdominal muscles.

So yeah... getting better all the time. Thanks for asking.

So I have a Dr appointment to look at my hernia again. I'm 95% sure that I have a recurrent hernia... ****. Me. I did some research when I discovered that it was back, and found out that there was a massive recall for the mesh used for BOTH of my surgeries. This is lovely. It has been bugging me that past couple of months and is now more obvious than it was pre-surgery... there's a hard lump there again, and it's worse. http://www.surgicalmeshrecall.com/

Best of luck. If your problems are due to the mesh you should think about pursuing legal action.

I have no idea.

My appointment isn't until the 24th either... lovely. The best case scenario is that it's full of fluid again and needs to be drained... dunno. The mesh is held in place by titanium tacks, which have likely been buried by scar tissue by now. The thought of those needing to be removed makes me a wee bit nauseous.
