Saga Unpopular Star Wars opinions!

"Jedi Rocks" and the Battle of Endor (Ewoks beating Stormtroopers) in ROTJ is as bad as any bad scene in the prequels.

 

I like the unorthodox way Lucas makes and shoots his movies.

 

I'm not sure that's an unpopular opinion - especially the first part

 

Well some people think the OT can do no wrong. But I think ROTJ and the SEs certaily do.

REVENGE OF THE SITH is a superior film to RETURN OF THE JEDI and THE FORCE AWAKENS. Not to say I think ROTJ is a bad film , but it is clearly the weakest of the OT. TFA I really really liked but I think EPISODE 8 will ultimately decide where TFA sits on my list ultimately.

 

Hayden Christensen steals the show as Anakin. One of the most overlooked and misunderstood performances in cinema history.

 

I still haven't forgiven Han for breaking the fourth wall and staring at me in a creepy way in Jedi when he was leaving Lando the MF.

 

It's apparently unpopular to call Kylo a sadistic jerkface.

 

I want Kylo Ren and Rey to hook up.

Even better if they are not related!

 

I really hate when Star Wars video games use the Opening Crawl. They're always unskippable at first, or if you want to actually watch the cutscene after it.

I'm fine with them in the films, just not in the games.

It just seems to get in the way, especially in the Lego games, where there's one before every single level. And the Freeplay. And the Battles in Lego TCW.

-Return Of The Jedi is not drastically worse than the prior 2 because of Death Star II or Ewoks

 

Return of the Jedi is the worst SW movie to this day. I cannot believe this was the end to the OT even after all these years.

 

This. I have serious problems with this. I am super salty because Luke is my favorite from the OT. Han Solo is overrated! (Of course I still really like him, that scruffy nerf-herder...)

 

Of the seven existing theatrical STAR WARS films, the best four are all directed by George Lucas.

 

The characters in TFA were the weakest in Star Wars yet.

That said, I don't actually have a problem with it (unlike most other SW fans). Although you'd think the first "No" would tip the Emperor off to how he's feeling.

It's not nearly as cheesy as the ROTS "Noooooo!"

 

Darth Maul is kinda dull.

 

Hayden is a good actor.
The script/dialogue of the PT aren't all that bad.
The Ewok's are harmless and I love them.
Politics are the backbone of the Original Saga and overall one of the most important plot points in all 6 films.
TFA was a bad movie.
Midichlorians are cool and interesting.

 

I agree. People carry on like the OT is basically nothing but Luke whining like Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

The way I remember it, a few characters other than Luke had a few complaints along the way.

TFA did not strike me as "OT's greatest hits"

 

Why is ROTJ your least favorite? It's my personal favorite so I'm intrigued to hear you out. I know many mark it as the worst in the OT.

 

I second this Lucas has directed the 4 best entries in the saga.
