What is it called?

Half laager, half cider and a shot of backcurrant.

Is it a regional difference?

I went through an ill advised youthful period of drinking this with a double vodka in the bottom, needless to say i don't have much of it in any form these days

 

I havent a clue...Never had it.

 

A Purple Nasty- thats what is was called when i drank it in the early 90's.

Edit Diesel (IIRC) is Guiness, Lager and Blackcurrant... definately has guiness in it anyway YUK!

 

It was WOCKERS who drank it mostly in my early days- that or Nukkie Brown!

I don't remember... literally... probably through drinking Snakebite and Black, Newkie Brown and JD for most of my later teens

Its when I drank Vodka straight years that i dont remember- just know i smashed things and got into fights!

I wasn't allowed to sell cider and lager mixed when I worked in a bar as it had been discovered that when lager and cider mix something happens to the chemistry of the drink which increases it's alcohol content (which is why people get drunker quicker on it).
