Vader won and Ahsoka's spirit goes deeper into the temple to learn the secret of becoming a force ghost. Maybe Anakin and Ahsoka will meet up again after death? I think that could be really touching.

Great art and photos Rebado by the way. Interesting theory Pevra, as I was annoyed that they wouldn't just say whether she's dead or not. I don't mind ambiguity but that seemed like the perfect way to give a end to Ahsokas story IMO.

One of my favorite shots of Vader.

 

The shot where Vader and Luke are fighting at the top of the stairs in TESB and the shot where Vader and Luke are fighting in the steam-filled room a minute later are my favorite shots.

 

Which Vader-costume do you like best? TESB for me.

 

I really don't see a difference from costume to costume in the movies. That said, I LOVE the way his outfit is stylized on Rebels.

The red eyes and angular helmet, and taking influence from McQuarrie totally make the outfit for me.

 

You can see the differences best when you compare them side by side. For example the ROTS helmet is completely symmetrical, while the other helmets are asymmetrical. It's quite interesting.

I must admit I don't like the Rebels design, far too thin for Vader and the mask is too angry looking for my taste.

 

I mostly prefer ANH’s mask – the more menacing overall look, the reddish lenses, the helmet configuration, the asymmetry, the battle-worn appearance - with the minor exception of the mouth area, where I prefer the configuration of the more updated masks where it’s not so sticking forward (I mean, the ANH one sideways kinda looks like a bulldog).

But I definitely prefer to see the chest piece worn over the robes like in, pretty much all versions except ANH and Rebels. There was a time I used to prefer the ANH style of wearing because it gave him a more mystical, evil appearance with all those robes, but now I think the chest piece really emphasizes the warrior aspect of Vader. Plus it’s such a cool-looking piece of armor, it should always be on display. Can I just say here how much I loved that TCW gave Anakin a similar looking chest piece?

I wasn’t a fan of the Rebels look at first, but I grew to like it. The mask design only looks too exaggerated when the camera is above him. But I love how it looks sideways. And yeah, he looks like he went on a diet and I wished he was a bit more muscular, but then again, all the characters look really slim. What matters is that Vader still looks huge when contrasted against the others. And he looks rather… dashing? Elegant even? He almost has an aristocratic vibe. With all that gorgeous animation around his cape and robes. You can tell that the animators are putting a lot of the budget into Vader’s appearance, way more than in the other characters.

I don’t know how the Yoda fan club works, but I wouldn’t mind if this place became more social. Even though I’m not as active as I wished in these forums.
I would like to know more about the other Vader fans here though.

I don't buy single issue comics, but I pick up lots of trades from my library. I've read Volume 1-2 of Marvel's Star Wars and Darth Vader. Vader has been the better of the two, and though I am sad to see that it will be going, I am actually glad I have an ending to look forward to.

Anyone else have thoughts on Marvel's Vader ending?

 

What a shame, as that was easily one of the best Star Wars comics so far.

Yep, decided to randomly pick a screenshot of one the Lego star wars games and this was it. I have a incredible bad habit of changing my mind on my avatar but I've become fond of this one, despite the fact I realized you can't even play as him in any of the games.
