Im a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or "Morman" for the layman.

Whoa, hot in here. I believe religious beliefs should never be censored unless they're indecent. I believe in the way stated throughout the bible. Not *my way*. And i have to admit it's fun to bash mennonites(amish). Even though they are some really nice people.

Born Jewish, have been agnostic or athiest for 10 years or so. People tell me I am confused.

 

I believe that no religion has the correct answer. I say when I die maybe I will find an afterlife,god,purpose for being here,ETC.ETC. or maybe I will not. Until then I will enjoy what life I have. By no means am I an atheist. I hope for all the things stated above. I just think that whatever created life,matter,ETC. is beyond any man's comprehention as it was most likely intended.

 

I believe in God. I believe that the Bible is the word of God just as it claims. Thus, I believe in the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and that Jesus Christ is the Son and that he became man and died on that cross 2,001 years ago to pay for MY sin. My belief in His act is my bridge to the Father, just as the Bible says. This is the narrow road that few will travel.

I believe the verse John 14:8 was not the one you were looking for, but rather John 14:6 which reads: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

For those that believe that just being a good person is going to get them to heaven, the Bible (or rather GOD) says: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." Only faith in Jesus Christ the Son will one be saved and step foot in the Kingdom of God.
And remember: I didn't say that. God did.

And...God loves each and every one of His creations (of which you are), but He doesn't want you to be worshipping anyone or anything BUT Him. Hence, the first commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. And even though He loves us (like your father loves you) he also is the judge and will judge those that do not follow him. There is a Hell and a Lake of Fire which was created for Satan/Lucifer. Lucifer doesn't want to be lonely there so he is doing everything he can to take you there with him. I pray that you not decide to go with him. Read the Bible and see how much God wants you to be with him in Heaven (which he is preparing for us as we speak) and what He did to get you there.

I am a Protestant Christian who believes there is only one way to God, Jesus Christ. Not the Virgin Mary or the saints.

 

I consider myself an agnostic. I don't believe in God. I don't really think that any religious denomination has even come close to "nailing it," nor do I think they ever will(though I think buddhist philosophy is closer than most). I believe in myself and what I'm capable of, and what *I* consider right and wrong. I don't believe in an "afterlife," I believe that when one dies, they become one with nature. Of course, my beliefs usually change on a day to day basis.

I do, however, agree with Ferris Bueller: "Life's short, and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you just might miss it."

 

Hmmm...I'm either atheist or agnostic. I'm not sure. I don't believe in God, but then again, I'm not completely ruling out the possibility. I just live my life, and I've been perfectly happy without a religion my whole life. And people get so serious about religion that it scares me away.

I see that a lot of people here, "believe in themselves". I've let myself down too many times to have faith in me. Jesus has never let me down, he's the only one who hasn't.
