Well, mechanically the first one is nothing like the other two, and while there are parts of 2 that impact the story somewhat in 3 (Mostly side characters that show up), the premise of that game was that you were slowly recovering from the amnesia you were suffering from for the duration of the entire first game, such that by the time you actually get to Witcher 3 you might as well be starting fresh. So, basically, I agree with heels on this issue.

 

That was 2014 me. 2015 me is all like:

 

Youth is wasted on the young.

 

I'd wait a year or at least until Uncharted 4 comes out.

 

Doesn't matter at all, you can start with the 3rd. I played only part of the 2nd, didn't care for it (although now I might go back after and would appreciate it). The 3rd is very different, I didn't know the story at all and I was able to pick it up fine. I think they intended it that way.

Well, I bought Witcher 3 along with the two Assassin's Creed next-gen titles, Killzone 4, Infamous 3, Just Cause 3, and Batman Arkham Knight.

So...which should I play and stick with? Fallout 4 is tremendously fun, and Assassin's Creed Unity is probably the most playable and least frustrating AC game since Revelations. Also, should I set up my internet account or no? I almost never did the online gaming for the PS3.

 

Don't you need an account for patches (which are very important)?

 

Not sure if you need it for patches but you definitely need it to play digital-only games. No sense in needlessly severing yourself.

yessir! i basically only use mine for online gaming and netflix so my experience is a little different from yours. but seriously, rocket league is the best thing i've found on it so far. soccer with cars, such a simple concept, hours of addictive fun.

 

I dunno man, I'm a little irked that I'd have to pay for online services this time around, whereas with the PS3, online use was completely free save for DLC. I'm all about the single player campaign. I grew up in the era of Myst/Grim Fandango/etc.

Is it worth it in your opinion? What online plan are you on?

 

i paid 50 bucks for a year. every month they give free games to plus members and some of them are really good (rocket league was one but they also have more of the adventure type games that you're into), so i'd say it's worth it just for that. even if you only end up grabbing a few of the free games it pays for itself.

 

I for one am happy I no longer have to go to Games to see "what system should I buy?" topics
