Speaking as someone who did go to every con he possibly could (which admittedly wasn't a whole lot) during his teen years, I can confirm that statement. To tell the truth, the male/female ratio is staggeringly different than it was in my day. I would've killed for a 10-1 ratio when I was 18; nowadays, it's more like 3-1. Granted, a lot of women attend with their significant others, but you should never let that stop you (if you're looking for women at a Con, you can't be choosy.)

bobafemme and i met at a con. that was 2 years ago for those of you keeping score. we just bought a house together

 

After being divorced for 6 years I've decided it's time to get back into the "pool" so to speak & that's why I'm headed to SLC.

 

This topic makes me sad.

some of us choose the single life cause we like it....
