Since the Holiday Special Anniversary Celebration was such a successful event I was wondering if other members would like another event like it. During the Holiday Special Anniversary we watched fanfilms and parodies (as well as the Holiday Special) related to Star Wars. We only saw about a quarter of what was brought to watch. We still have tons of cool things to watch such as the audition tapes and more parodies. Is anyone interested in attending this event?
I say heck yeah!We could make this a regular event and call it"Fanforce Science Theater 3000"with our own running commentary.Besides,I think some want to see "WAMPA,WAMPA,WAMPA!!!"again. Also,if there's anything I brought that you want to see again just give the word.
Yes that was great fun. Let's do it again and see all the rest of the stuff we didnt get to.
It will be a day to look forward to in February when there is nothing but cold going on.
Wampa Wampa? Oh, but not that song again that they played on every commercial??? --Billy
Chris I like the name! I think we should call it that.
Maybe we can have it the weekend in February when Shawn will be up (the weekend after Valentine's Day).
Cool poll choices. Looks unanimous so far. w00t.
YES i'm in. Troops & Hardware Wars are classics. My favorite fan shorts are Star Warp'd & George Lucas
In Love. No snow allowed!!!!!! LOL!!!
Sounds great everybody. Lets settle on a date for it. We can finalize the decision at the January 25th Meeting.
What date are you looking at Dana? And how is that date for everybody else? --Billy
How about February 15? Shawn is coming up for Valentine's Day and I think he'd enjoy the event.
Everyone has agreed to change the date to 2/22. See ya there. --Billy
Uber-sweetness, folks. I'm on the fringe and really need to be exposed to the world of SW obscurities--I've heard of a lot of them, but haven't actually seen them (growing up with one foot in Mexico does that to you).
Hey General--count me in.
Your gonna have fun.
Hey Chris, you'll have to expose her to "Wampa Wampa"
LOL. Bring that video again. --Billy
Moraih, you'll have a lot of fun. Most of it is really funny (with the exception of The Holiday Special!.
So let it be done, the call will be answered. The Trooper will bring forthwith such tapes containing "WAMPA,WAMPA,WAMPA!!" and such repetitive jingles that will require the entire Megadeth catalog to rid from one's mind.Be ready.
Chris you will drive us to madness one by one. --Billy
Aren't we already mad?
And we wouldn't have it any other way.
Hey, it's not SW PR, but does anybody recall seeing the Band-Aid commercial that Mark Hamill did when he still looked like...fifteen? Time may have fudged my memory (and it's not like I'm old enough to have seen it when it actually aired; I don't remember how the hell I saw it) but I believe it's the scariest thing I ever saw, because he sang the jingle...in a locker room shower.
I think that tops "Wampa Wampa" anyday.
I never heard of that, but maybe somebody has it on tape. The earliest Mark Hamill Ive seen was an episode of the Partridge Family. (I think Nik channel was showing those shows last year.)
Mark played a boyfriend of Laurie who she was afraid to let him know she was getting braces. Man! Did he look young. That had to be something like 72 or 73.
Yeah, I think that's the only time I've ever seen Mark actually look like a dork.
Now wait a second, our hero never looks like a dork --Billy
"But I was going to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!!" (*whine whine*)
Okay Okay youre right.
Whining to the future Uncle Charred and Aunt Crispy. --Billy
