Anyone know why we're constantly berated as Trek reject aliens?

 

Those trekkies are probably just jealous that they couldn't have the coolness of the YV in their galaxy, therefore they simply bash them.

Seriously though I don't know. The Yuuzhan Vong were conceived through Mayan and Aztec influences (I think). Just people looking for a reason to bash for some "unoriginal creatures".

Now a days its very hard for writers or artists to create any new creature without being told how unoriginal it is. Sad thing is, most of what we use for new species has been done some time in the past.

These people just are looking for a cheap way to trash the Yuuzies, nothing more.

 

I happen to be a Trekkie myself, and don't believe such things. Granted, I'm a bigger Star Wars fan, but the idea's still there.

OMG, I picked up Destiny's Way yesterday and basically flipped through all the boring parts (the solos brats, whiny rebels, etc) and read all the interesting parts. Ok I have to say....

I HATE SHIMRRA!!

I definitely won't post any spoilers but UGH, I seriously hope in the end this VONG (he does not deserve "Yuuzhan" in front of his name) to get his just deserts. And I hope it's in the most disgraceful manner possible!

Oh, and I HATE (insert: loathe, despise, shun, abhor) that tart Jaina!
