V is for Vernor Vowles, a Veteran Welfare Officer from the IHS (Imperial Health Services). By shear thick-skinned stubbornness, he has kept his small department operating, looking after ex-Troopers, whether Clone, Storm or Death. Checking their living conditions and finding help for them when needed.

His stern, precise demeanor is challenged when he receives a message from the Office of the Emperor that orders him to review the living conditions of a physically disabled D. Vader on the planet Mustafar.

(Soon, soon. Gotta get time to sit down and write properly. For @DarthIshtar's Paperwork Challenge )

W is for Whispurr! Whispurr is Admiral Ozzel's cat; she's a rare breed of Caridan angora who sheds on the furniture and on Admiral Ozzel. She's also rather ill-tempered as a consequence of being constantly cooped up in Ozzel's quarters. She expresses her displeasure by refusing to use the litter box, attacking Ozzel's orderly and escaping every time she gets the chance. This causes no small amount of turmoil on the Executor in the days and hours leading up to the Battle of Hoth. She has her own thread: The Whispurr Omnibus.

Y is for Yaanis, a young Rodian man taken by the One Sith as a child and trained alongside their initiates. Considered too weak to attain the mantle of Sith Lord for himself, Yaanis instead joined the ranks of the Lessers, and ended up stationed on Vjun as a sort of personal assistant to Darth Festus and Darth Ferrus. Yaanis appears in Enter the Foreign and Beneath the Gods of the Bright Sky, with an unnamed cameo in The Lands of the Dead – but his biggest role is in the AU where Hondo Ohnaka rescues him and several other children from the Sith and raises them as pirates: Stardust and Steel.

She appears Finding Family, Many Lifetimes and possibly Keeping the Light Burning.

Amne Selrieen Palpatine was the second wife of Chancellor Palpatine and the First Lady of the Republic from his election to Supreme Chancellor to the declaration of the First Galactic Empire.

During her tenure, she was known for her humanitarian efforts and the softening and humanizing effect she had on her husband. She had been a secondary school history teacher before her marriage and continued as a guest lecturer when her duties permitted it.

Though the Palpatines hoped for children, they were a decade in coming. It was during her pregnancy with twins she named Davit and Michel that she was abducted by separatists and held hostage for several weeks. She was rescued, but injured in the escape and gave birth to her stillborn sons. In the second year of the clone wars, she miscarried a child at ten weeks of gestation.

She spent much of the war trying to lend aid to the displaced of member worlds or working with organizations to restore devastated communities. She was on Mon Calamari when the news of her husband’s capture by General Grievous reached her. She returned to Coruscant and worked as a close ally of Bail Organa of the Loyalist Committee.

Tragically, she disappeared on the very day that her husband declared himself emperor. Her former Jedi protectors, Amia Sahur and Uli Kaes, were her last known companions and while those enemies of the empire were found and killed for their crimes, Lady Palpatine’s resting place has never been located.

Her younger sister, Valeria Selrieen, is known for having composed music in memory of the clone wars’ victims and her third symphony, V’l’amnios, is a requiem for her murdered sister. The music includes themes from their childhood folk songs on Alderaan as well as the Anthem of the Empire in its triumphant finale.

Amne appears in the in-progress Wife of Deceit series as well as upcoming collaborations with LLL.

B is for Breha Amidala Solo, a character created by @divapilot of which there are two versions. In Legends, she's the fourth, non-Force-sensitive child of Han and Leia, in Canon, she's their second child. In both continuities, she ends up in a committed relationship with a medic nicknamed Blue and they have all sorts of adventures together and overcome many obstacles before their happily-ever-after, although the New Canon version is darker. She appears in True Blue and The God of Second Chances for the Legends version and Bad Romance and The General's Wife for the New Canon version (plus a few one-shots here and there) and both continuities are essential reading :)

    D is for Delani.

Delani was the former college roommate of the Alderaanian history teacher who married Senator Palpatine in Wife of Deceit. She opposed the arranged marriage on principle, but wanted Amne Selrieen to find joy as Lady Palpatine. She was a bridesmaid in the wedding, a favor returned by the First Lady a few years later. Six months after her wedding, she announced her first pregnancy, but miscarried several weeks later. She went on to have two daughters with her husband Lares, the older of whom was nicknamed Isi. Her history helped her support Amne during her own pregnancy losses shortly before the outbreak of the Clone Wars and a year before the fall of the Republic. It is not clear what she did to help Lady Palpatine escape coruscant, but she was killed in questioning one year after the Empire was established.

E is for Evie, a clavi-pian black Evoluo caf maker, belonging to Zeb Orrelios. Evie was a Life Day present to caf aficionado Zeb from Raissa and Doran Blayne and their family. She had a rudimentary droid brain, and developed a crush on Chopper. He didn't return the sentiment, and Evie pined away for him, dispensing inferior caf in her melancholy. When Zeb found out the cause of his suddenly less-than-adequate morning coffee, he hounded Chopper into telling Evie her loved her. However, Evie realized that her real love was for the one who polished her shiny black casing and kept her filled with triple filtered water—Zeb. When Zeb reunited with his wife, Shulma, Evie became increasingly jealous of “the other purple one” and attempted to rid herself of her rival for Zeb’s affection, even shooting steam at Shulma. This led Zeb to have Evie’s droid brain replaced with a less amorous model—which turned out to be a reconditioned HK-47. Evie appears in A Steamy Romance and A Steamy Vengeance .

F is for Fyr Maton, a Roonian Jedi Initiate c.61 BBY, he's got low self-esteem and takes it out on others, often making crass or insulting jokes at others expense but also desperately craves the attention of his peers and teachers alike, often sucking up to the adults around, and jumping to be the first to speak up in conversation that don't relate to him, he lacks social skills and doesn't seem to understand why most of those in Clawmouse clan dislike him. His temper, below average force sensitivity, poor bladesmanship and crude behavior make him an all-around poor Jedi despite what he himself may say to the contrary.

You may meet him, as well as his generally more likeable peers in The Shattered Minds Eye Phase Two.

G is for Jimbo Grau, Eriaduan noble and the middle brother between Thomas and Arien. Due to having fought side by side during the Clone Wars Jimbo was close friends with the Imperial Commander, and later Warlord Sander Delvardus, despite their differences in personality and ideology. This odd friendship actually protected House Grau from getting purged during the Imperial era. When the Eriadu Authority fell appart Jimbo followed Delvardus to the Deep Core where he served as one of his chief commanders, including during the Dark Empire campaign. After Delvardus was murdered by Daala, Jimbo refused to follow her and returned to Eriadu where he was imprisoned a couple of years for his loyality to the warlords (and experienced all the perks nobles recieve in prison). Afterwards he mostly spent his days hunting in the wilderness of Eriadu alongside his husband, often taking his niece Ulrika and in time her girlfriend Elena along with them. By the time of the main stories he has since then passed away of natural causes but Ulrika often thinks back fondly to her favorite uncle.

Ils Chimre is I today. She originally appeared as an aide to Princess Leia in the first version of Lest Ye Be Judged and mostly was a sounding board. In the second version, she was a reporter selected as a member of the jury for Anakin Skywalker’s war crimes trial. She was allowed to comment on her public experiences and was the juror tasked with delivering a message from the jury to the Skywalkers after the verdict. In spite of her career, she did not enjoy gawking, so observed families parting at the departure of the anti-Zsinj task force during the first year of the New Republic. Chief of State Organa Solo appreciated that discretion.

In her current role, she is known as an investigative journalist on Imperial Center. She was passed a recording of Bail Organa’s imprisonment and brought it to the attention of Judge Esio Turot. As Organa had not been charged before his imprisonment, Turot pressured the department of justice to give him due process. It is because of this interaction that Organa was promised a fair trial and allowed prisoner rights such as medical attention and communication with his daughter.

Her grandmother was Alderaanian, but she was raised on several worlds due to her father’s mercantile ventures. She got her degree in journalism on Imperial Center.

J is for Jindi Korkuu, a Weequay beggar who lives on the streets of the Holy City of Jedha in the very, very, VERY distant past of the GFFA – or does she? Her clothes are little more than rags and she requests the alms of passers-by in exchange for her blessing, but no one gives her any credits anyway and yet she's surprisingly well-fed for someone so destitute. One does wonder why she returns day after day to the Well of Prosperity under these circumstances, and even more where she disappears every night. All these are things that I need to clarify when I finally get around to continue writing The Kyberkerk of Jedha.

K is for Karellen Magnuson. He is a young Taanabi man from a small valley farming community, the youngest of three children, who--since his brother and sister are both years older than he is, and left home early--spent much of his adolescent years as effectively an only child. He is close with his mother, Berhta Johannsdottar, especially after his father, Magnus Svenson, dies after a long illness when he is eighteen. Known for his skills in the arts of the outdoors, traditional dance, and space!rugby, he took his degree in forestry studies, and soon after he graduated, he began his first post as assistant ranger at a remote mountain pass. As ever in life, he is accompanied by his friend-turned-life partner Antares Ragnarsdottar.

(He is also known for his traditional yet eccentric fashion style, "Keep slaying, king!," even though he doesn't even realize he has a style.)

So far, he appears in Heroes and My Life in the Forest.

[To those who have read Childhood's End: yes, I know--and aside from the name, which I chose just because I like it, there is no resemblance between my character and the Supervisor of Earth.)

L is for Lena Fenton the older of the two Lena's in the Grau Verse. Lena was once just a high school student from Corellia during the Imperial Era, good looking and confident she was the most popular girl in her class, even though she could also be quite spoiled and bratty at times. Everything changed for her though when she discovered to be Force Sensetive and had to flee her home and leave everything and everyone she knew behind to escape the Empire. With some luck and connections of her family she did manage to escape to the Rebellion, which she joined as a X-Wing pilot around the time of the battle of Endor, something she has really great at due to her force skills. In the Rebellion she was actually reunited with an old classmate: Alec Fenton, a shy, bookish nerd with whom she had never even talked to back in their highschool days. Both of them were quite suprised to see the other of all people in the rebellion, but it gave them a connection that only became stronger in the coming months, the unlikely friendship developing into romance, then marriage. Eventually Lena would join the New Jedi Order, shortly after Lukes intital twelve students. She was present for many of the Orders important battles and events but usually stayed in the background. She and Alec had a son together Titus, who also became a Jedi though eventually sadly left the known Galaxy behind to find his true path beyond it. Also the two are the godparents of Ilona Malek. Lena eventually retired from the Jedi Order and supported her husband when he became President of Corellia in his old age. Afterwards both enjoyed a quiet retirment but as the events leading up to the third Galactic Civil War would prove Lena could still more than kick a lot of Sith butt...

Lena appears in the Grau Verse.

N is for Nurse Nellie Nightingale.
A home visitation nurse for the Lower Ariana Spire Council (Floors 22 to 96), South Eastern Industrial Sector, Coruscant. She visits the invalid and elderly in the Council to check on their health and living conditions.

A small neat package of a Rodian, in her properly pressed white uniform, and her little white cap with her alert green ears poking out and twitching to every sound. A notepad and pen ready for her flowing cursive Aubesh in her breast pocket and a medical bag in her hand, she is a model of efficiency.

Time to visit elderly Mrs Mavis Ming down on Level 35. Her neighbor Mister Georgio Geonosius has reported that he is worried about her.

O is for Hems Oilosse. He was a Corellian Jedi, educated on Corellia by his father Talaal and in the Jeditemple where he was the padawan of Corin Halcyon. After his knighting he returned to Corellia and became a member of CorSec. He could escape the purge and went into hiding in Cormond where he helped Rostek Horn. Helping to liberate slaves on Nalakon he ended up on Moniron before the battle of Endor. He stayed on Moniron in the village Mitrinna where he died.

    Ahh well, I'll claim R.

R is for Reginald tha Slug.

A little blue slug with big white teeth who lives in a swamp on Dagobah. Just minding his own business, crunching on leaves, and avoiding predators such as hungry green Jedi Masters.

Until... until he encounters the POWER of the Dark Side inside of a mysterious cave, and then, oh boy, Reginald wont be the one screaming AARGH! Oh no no no.

(Note: I'm trying to figure out how to have Reginald fall on Luke's shoulder without him noticing. Rewatching Empire, the journey into the cave is too far and awkward for a tiny slug by himself. Maybe something for the Help thread.)

S is for Thane Selrieen. Originally created for the Wife of Deceit series, he was a merchant from Naboo who relocated to Alderaan when he fell in love with his wife. He had two daughters eleven years apart. He fostered friendship with fellow Naboo Sheev Palpatine and encouraged a friendship between his eldest daughter and the senator. He became an ambassador four years before The Phantom Menace.

Seeing his old friend in need of companionship, he arranged a marriage between Sheev and Amne. It wasn’t what he has hoped for his firstborn’s love life, but she was promised stability and loyalty and when she actually fell in love with her husband, his guilt was slightly assuaged.

He does not know what happened to Amne after the end of the clone wars. His daughter is one of many Republic loyalists who was a friend of the Jedi and she was confirmed to have been visited by the Jedi she knew on the day the republic ended. This unresolved mystery torments him to this day. His wife died not knowing if their daughter is still out there and his younger daughter Valeria won’t speak of her suspicions.

He now sits on both the Council of Thanes and the Queen’s Council on Alderaan, having served Queen Breha as a diplomatic advisor and now having pledged his service to Queen Leia Organa.

T is for Senkka Tess, a Trandoshan grandee and big game hunter of some repute.

Shortly after Boba Fett's victory against the Pyke Syndicate in 9 ABY, during which the duplicitous Dokk Strassi was killed, Tess became the primary representative for Mos Espa's Trandoshan quarter. She showed due deference to the new Daimyo, promising him peace (although Boba suspected that her words were partly encouraged by the intimidating presence of a certain Wookiee gladiator).

Tess is one of the few original characters featured in A Daimyo's Diary: The Book of Boba Fett.
