make Candace be the stormtrooper who bumps their head on the low-hanging door in ANH? Kinda clever, if so.

 

My three year-old daughter loves Phineas and Ferb. Just loves it.

And of course, she's a Star Wars nut, just like her Daddy.

This will be something we can really enjoy watching together, so I'm really looking forward to the airdate.

 

Update:

We just sat through the trailer together.

I can't remember the last time my little girl held such a seam-bursting grin from ear-to-ear for seventy-six seconds like that. Her eyes danced with pure delight.

And then we re-watched it, and she did it again.

And then a third time.

Thank you, Disney/Lucasfilm. If nothing else, the whole Star Wars/Phineas and Ferb cross-over event was worth it just for that moment between a Daddy and his little girl (and even Grandma was there to enjoy the moment with us).

July 26. Yes, this is going to be fun.

 

Never really sat down to watch a full episode, but my little brother has watched it before and i've found a few of the scenes funny. From the trailer they look to be treating the real SW characters with gravity, wheras they mock their own. The art and production values of the world around them seems pretty high also. On a side thought, I wonder if the opening scene of ANH, with the Tantive fleeing from the Star Destroyer is at this point in history?

 

Hey this is going to be good, I like the Marvel one which was funny entertaining and colorful. So I think that star wars is going to be great.

 

Yeah, this is actually rather upsetting to me. To make this crossover work, they'd have to make Star Wars into a complete and utter joke.

And since Phineas and Ferb is, IMO, hit and miss, it may not even be a good joke. I just hope it doesn't get super popular and I end up seeing it all over the place.

I never saw the ESB and ROTJ parodies Family Guy did, and I'm okay with that.

Yeah, I won't, that's what I was alluding too. But don't do that, don't try and keep me from weighing in.

 

You have a right to your opinion, I wasn't keeping you from expressing that. I just don't get the whole "Show X doing a SW parody is making SW into a joke" thing, especially since cartoons have been doing it since the 1980s (Muppet Babies, anyone?).

 

I don't think it's making SW into a joke, I just wouldn't watch it if you paid me minimum wage to do so.

 

You are also entitled to that opinion, and that right.

I wouldn't worry about that, guys...in a lot of people's eyes, GL already did that with the Prequels.

But, anyway, it's time for Star Wars to get serious again.

 

Yeah everyone I know in real life who wasn't around 10 or younger when the PT started only likes the OT.

Mzukiller when whether ______________ is making SW into a joke or not is being discussed, yes, it is relevant to bring up that for many fans the PT has already done so.

 

I watched it last night, because it was on my cable's OnDemand section (I was curious and happened to see they already had it up). It was pretty funny, with some neat SW gags, but some might make you groan, especially if you've never watched Phineas and Ferb before.
