I am really interested in seeing a Dracula film tonight.

Does anyone know one that is more modern, like 1990s to 2000’s?

 

Were you and I separated at birth or something?!?

The Dracula series on Netflix is very, very good. I'd give it 5 stars easily. It takes the original and brings the favorite parts back to life ("I never drink... wine.") and it adds a new, expanded ending to it. I was riveted all the way through the end!

 

Castlevania is also excellent albeit very violent

 

I shall watch it and then we can discuss. I am going to start with primer, Dracula 2000 with Gerald Butler (fav of mine) and Christopher Plummer.

I am fan of the Kill Bill volumes. So gote is no issue for me Master.

The subtitle for Gerard Butler's Dracula movie should have been Transylvania Has Fallen.

I actually was going for blend of Iscariot and scared, he aint Iscareiot of anything. XD

I have to admit that was the greatest twist in a Dracula film, I’ve ever seen. In this day and age you could go one step beyond it.

 

You probably could.

 

I really was expecting Dracula to say he was Christ when he begins to tell who he is, I imagined he touches blood on his fangs, “this is my blood,” and when he bites you its “greet each other with a kiss,” and when you get bit and become a vampire its “you are born again, and have eternal life.” I was on edge of my seat like woah, if they go that way, it would be bold, but they settled for Judas Iscariot instead.

It reminds me of when they made this set of the LOTR:

 

He’s also pretty hot in The Phantom of the Opera. During most of the movie, anyway. I think he looks more like himself in Dear, Frankie. Still handsome, though.

 

The Phantom is one of my favs. The fact he could actually sing was incredible. I also saw The Phantom on Broadway, and when the chandelier flew over your head on mezzanine level, it was surreal.
