Week 8 of Through These Tangled Threads of Light. I haven't made a secret of the fact that I've struggled with my writing these past few years. This particular set of drabbles was something that I had fun writing, and I actually felt okay about how it turned out. It's a small step but I'm proud of it.

This is such a hard question to answer, but I'm going to have to go with Love Betters What is Best. I poured my heart and soul - and no small amount of research - into this collection, and there are a few pieces in here that I consider some of my finest work as an author. Though, of course, that is a bar I look forward to pushing past and exceeding in the time to come!

Once again, picking my favorite story from the past year is about as impossible as choosing between my kids, but I think it’s only right that I choose Enter the Foreign. Not only is it the genesis of my entire Enter!verse, it’s also a story that has been near and dear to my heart for close to fifteen years, and finishing it in 2022 was such a huge accomplishment for me. I’m very proud of the story as a whole, and I’m thankful for how it helped me to become a better writer and spurred me to explore an entire world of stories I otherwise wouldn’t have written.

This was a tough one! I also had a great time writing the other short that I finished in 2022, but ultimately just couldn't not pick the Winter Fic-Gift that I wrote for Raissa -- it was such a fun project and I'm really happy with how it turned out. So yup, it's going to have to be The Tale of Canderous Ordo and How It Is Past Wren’s Bedtime.
